This week Barramurra celebrated SASS (School Administrative and Support Staff) Recognition Week.

With the theme “Thriving Schools Start With Us", the week highlights the essential work support staff do in classrooms, front offices, and school grounds to keep our school safe, welcoming, and running smoothly.

At Barramurra, we think we have the best SASS staff around and we are so incredibly lucky for all the things they do, day in and day out, to support all of our students.

During Library lessons, our Year 3 and Year 4 students are learning about coding with Dashbots. Block-based coding allows them to drag and drop visual blocks that represent different commands. By programming their Dashbots to move, spin, light up and respond to voice commands, students build valuable skills in sequencing, problem-solving, creativity and collaboration. Students learn how to write code, test it, and work together to complete challenges and create projects.

Today we have two groups of our amazing students working hard and presenting at Tournament of Minds.

Year 6 has the challenge to create an original radio play series that could captivate today's youth!

Year 5 has the challenge of deciding the best way to source, design, produce, and sell limited-edition t-shirts for a hypothetical school fundraiser!

We are so proud of the efforts of our students working through these creative and challenging tasks, and a big thank you to Mrs Woodward for her support in helping our students in this year’s Tournament of Minds.

Another successful day at PSSA today :)
