A huge thank you to Compass Group Aus Swans Onslow Chevron and MEGT Australia for joining us at Onslow School for our Bullying No Way! Day Community Breakfast! 🥓🍳

Our students, families and staff enjoyed some delicious bacon and egg burgers while coming together to celebrate kindness, respect and standing up against bullying. 💙

Onslow School Rodeo Round-up
We had an amazing time last Friday at our Rodeo Round-Up with a range of different activities including line dancing and hobby horse obstacle course races.

With students and staff dressed for the occasion and a sausage sizzle at lunchtime, it was a fantastic opportunity to come together and celebrate as a school community.

We would like to thank Onslow Rodeo, Mineral Resources and Swans Onslow for their contribution and generous donation that helped to make the day a success.

Our Year 5/6 students rose to the challenge of completing a 4km run through the Chevron Tough Stuff Program. In partnership with zero2hero, this program provides valuable learning opportunities that build confidence, resilience, and a positive mindset, helping students persevere when faced with challenges.

Complementing our existing wellbeing initiatives, Tough Stuff offers a different perspective on what it means to be strong, both physically and mentally. For many of our students, completing the challenge brought a real sense of accomplishment and helped them realise they are often capable of more than they think. The experience reinforced the value of perseverance and resilience when faced with challenges.

NAIDOC Week Celebration
Today we came together as a school and community to celebrate NAIDOC Week and recognise 50 years of honouring and celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and achievements.

It was wonderful to see our community united through our NAIDOC Cook-Up and Art Exhibition.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making today such a memorable celebration. We are proud to honour the rich histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and to continue learning together.

We were pleased to welcome Mineral Resources as part of our careers education program for our Year 9 -12 students. Students discovered exciting career opportunities with MinRes, explored pathways into the industry, gained practical job applicarion tips and engaged directly through an interactive Q&A session.

A big thank you to the.MinRes team for their time and expertise in supporting our student's understanding of post-school options.
