Please read the following.
All lessons and planned lessons are on hold effective immediately.

Claire Bears have recently been advised of some substantial changes to the Public Health Act 2010, and the Public Health Regulations 2022, which has significantly changed the way pools are classified in New South Wales. Under the changes, a small private pool such as Claire Bears, is now considered a public Commercial pool. This means, that Claire Bears now has the same governance and requirements that centres like Sydney Aquatic Centre, or the Local Taree Aquatic Centre are subject to, and along with that substantial penalties can be applied if we are found to operating with a non-compliant pool.

Whilst Claire Bears, for the last few years has run a modern, state of the art, Magna pool system, with a secondary Ozone water treatment system, that by far exceeds any normal standard back yard system, the new regulations now means that this equipment as it currently stands, is no longer sufficient.

We are currently in talks with Council, and our pool equipment supplier, and we are hopeful of achieving a resolution that allows Claire Bears to continue to operate and be compliant with the new rules, but of course, this takes time, so during this time, Claire Bears will be unable to operate, which is very disappointing for us and our clients.

It could be said, that we were lucky to find out, in that having the misfortune of our heater playing up, and in the process of getting that repaired and working, is how we found out about the changes, and then only doing our own research after that, were we able to confirm the changes.

Claire Bears swim school will be focusing on lessons for cherubs who need that little bit more attention such as cherubs with ASD, ADHD, low muscle tone, hemiplegia, cerebral palsy, syndromes.

The heat pump is on the blink 🤬……. waiting to hear from my pool mechanic…….. so until this is fixed there will be no swimming.

The rehab continues thanks to more surgery. No swimming now until October 2022 (fingers crossed for no more surgery)

Surgery was 4 months ago and even though we have been away I did my exercises every day. Anthony thought this one reminded him of swimming - so we added some music. Thought of all your cherubs everyday for the last 4 months.
