Bring Your Bills Day

South East Community Links, a local community service, is hosting a special, free event on Tuesday, 25 August 2026, from 10.30am to 3pm at Arthur Wren Hall (18-20 Stuart Avenue, Hampton Park).

If you are struggling with your bills, rent, mortgage, or loans, this is your opportunity to talk to different companies and services who can support you.

You can get help for:

· Unpaid bills and debt

· Fines

· Mortgages and personal loans and credit cards

· Centrelink and government services

· Housing and tenancy rights

· Consumer rights and legal issues

On the day, you will receive free, confidential advice and support from financial counsellors, lawyers, tenancy workers, and representatives from major utility companies - all in the same room.

Interpreters will be available.

Please note that no money is paid for your bills.

Free, walk-in help with energy, water, phone and other bills. No appointment needed.

We were honoured to recently speak at Inner Wheel and share about the work of Follow Bless Collective. It was a wonderful opportunity to talk about the challenges facing women and children in our community and the practical ways we can all make a difference.

We were able to share about DV Safe Phones whom we are a partner of, which provides refurbished mobile phones to people leaving domestic and family violence situations. Access to a safe and reliable phone can be a lifeline, helping individuals stay connected to support services, family, employment opportunities, and emergency assistance as they rebuild their lives.

We were also excited to hear that Inner Wheel is currently collecting mobile phones to support the DV Safe Phones program, helping ensure more women leaving violence have access to this vital resource when they need it most.

We are incredibly grateful for Inner Wheel's generous donation, which will help us continue supporting women and children in our community who are doing it tough. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and commitment to creating safer, stronger futures for those who need support most. 💜✨

A huge thank you to Gippsland Jersey for joining us at our Community Meal during Homelessness Awareness Week and generously providing delicious milkshakes for everyone!

We would also like to thank Monash South east legal services, ADRA Community Care - Cardinia, Cardinia Shire Council and Nandos for helping to make the night extra special.

We love working with other organisations to bring some cheer to our community.

Homelessness awareness week is this week. We have some treats down at Bourke Park Pakenham tonight with some winter coats, (Thanks Lexi!) Pizza, doughnuts! Fruit and veggies and Power banks thanks to Cardinia Shire Council.

Will be a cold night but warm hearts!

When Lexi Hili started thinking about what to do for her Year 7 Think project - she didn't think small! Lexi thought about the community around her and what was needed to make an impact and had the aim to collect 100 coats to warm the community this winter.

Even though she was told it was ambitious she didn't stop there but worked hard through her project collecting 500!!! Winter coats to keep vulnerable members of the community warm.

Lexi has blessed Off your Back charity and Big Group Hug charities already finishing off with Follow Bless Collective this afternoon.

We will be taking these coats to our Tuesday Night at the Park takeaway service opposite Pakenham Train Station tomorrow night to gift those in need.

What a great effort by Lexi! Thank you for your hard work and thoughtfulness!

It is a great afternoon when Beaconsfield Knitting group provide a car load of blankets to snuggle into!

These blankets will be coming to our Tuesday night at the park for our community members who need a little help keeping warm on the cold winter nights.

Our community meal is on Thursday night with a free cooking demonstration and tasting hosted by ADRA Community Care - Cardinia Come and learn how to use the common foods supplied by food relief programs in 3 different ways. Free demonstration and tastings from 630pm.

The ladies from the Beaconsfield Knitting Group are incredibly humble and would normally prefer to remain behind the scenes, quietly blessing others without any recognition. However, this week we convinced them to let us share just a small glimpse of the incredible difference they are making in our community!

For many months (and years!), these talented and caring ladies have been knitting away, creating beautiful blankets, scarves, beanies, snoods, toys, and other handmade items that are distributed to people in our community through Follow Bless Collective.

Every stitch is a gift of love. Every blanket provides warmth. Every beanie, scarf, and comfort item reminds someone that they are seen, valued, and cared for.

As the weather turns colder, these handmade creations will bring both practical support and encouragement to many individuals and families doing it tough.

To the Beaconsfield Knitting Group: thank you for your faithful service, your generous hearts, and the countless hours you invest in caring for others. While you may not seek recognition, we want you to know that your kindness is making a real difference in the lives of so many people.
