The West Australian Pulse 2026 | Congratulations Harley Wright, Class of 2025

We are incredibly proud of Harley Wright (Class of 2025), whose artwork has been selected for Pulse 2026 at the Art Gallery of Western Australia.

This prestigious exhibition features just 63 works from 43 schools across WA, showcasing the very best of 2025 Year 12 Visual Arts students.

In addition — for the second year running, an Ocean Reef SHS student has been chosen as one of only five artists featured by The West Australian and STM Magazine.

“…students grappling with their transition into adulthood…” — Harley’s work Next steps captures this powerful theme through a portrait of a friend navigating uncertainty.

The West Australian Pulse 2026 is a free exhibition open to the public at the Art Gallery of Western Australia and runs until 13 September.

What an incredible experience for our Year 7 Surf Lifesaving Cadets on camp! 🌊☀️

Over the course of the camp, students challenged themselves, built teamwork skills, and created lasting memories through a range of exciting outdoor activities. From the scenic coastal cycle and strategic orienteering challenges to testing their focus in archery, enjoying some friendly competition in frisbee golf, and finishing off with fun beach games, there was something for everyone.

It was fantastic to see our cadets step outside their comfort zones, encourage one another, and demonstrate resilience, leadership, and positive attitudes throughout the camp.

A huge thank you to all staff and organisers who helped make the experience such a success. We are incredibly proud of the way our Year 7 students represented themselves and our school! 👏

Certificate III Sport & Recreation 🏃‍♂️

Our Certificate III Sport & Recreation students recently supported Ocean Reef Primary School with their Cross Country event, gaining valuable real-world experience in the sport and recreation industry.

Throughout the event, students assisted with sport sessions, supported event operations, and applied important skills relating to safety, teamwork and duty of care in a practical environment.

It was wonderful to see our students encouraging and supporting the younger students throughout the event. A fantastic opportunity to put their learning into action while supporting the local community.

Well done to all involved! 👏
