Over the weekend, our Prendivillians hit the surf at Trigg Beach for the 2026 Interhouse Surf Carnival, proudly representing their Houses. With confidence and determination, our students took to the waves, showcasing their skill and talent in the water.
Congratulations to all who competed, and thank you to our Prendiville community who came down to support our students. A special thank you to our PE Department for organising the event and dedicating their mornings to coaching our athletes.

ππ₯ Chemistry in the Dark π§ͺπ
Last night, the Year 7 Science Club enjoyed our Chemistry in the Dark Night at the College. Beginning with a sausage sizzle, the evening featured a range of exciting practical experiments performed by our Science Department. There was also a guest appearance from our Year 12 Academic Captains, who took the time between their demonstrations to answer questions from our eager Year 7s. They even had the opportunity to perform one of the experiments themselves.
The night finished with a bang, thanks to Mr Devlinβ¦ or rather, a few bangs! π

β» From Hope to Action π
This week, our students have been taking part in Laudato Siβ Week, participating in a range of activities across the College. Now in its 11th year, Laudato Siβ Week is a global Catholic initiative inspired by Pope Francisβ call to care for our common home through greater environmental awareness and action.
Activities throughout the week encouraged students to reflect on the waste we produce, with a particular focus on reducing single-use plastics in the lead-up to Plastic Free July. Students created beeswax wraps as a sustainable alternative to plastic wrap, took part in a Waste Audit, and painted symbols of commitment onto river stones for Plastic Free July. These painted stones will form the beginning of a nature walk on College grounds.

π© Francis and McCormack Week of Stewardship & Courage π§
This week at the College, we have been celebrating the spirit of our Francis and McCormack Houses, honouring their patrons, St Francis of Assisi and Sister Irene McCormack. Today, students attended a special House Mass at our neighbouring parish, St Simon Peter Catholic Church. Tomorrow, a sausage sizzle fundraiser will be held in support of SAFE Rescue, WAβs largest volunteer-based animal rescue and rehoming service. πΎ
St Francis of Assisi, patron saint of ecology, lived humbly and devoted his life to caring for the poor and the environment, while Sister Irene McCormack dedicated her life to bringing education, faith and hope to remote communities in Peru. π¦πΊ
