On Friday we celebrated Mary's Feast day. As part of the festivities we celebrated Mass as a whole school and throughout the day we invited dance company in. They were terrific! Each year level had a 40 minute workshop to learn a dance with songs chosen around Our Lady Mary. At the end of the day each year level presented to the whole school. It was a great joy to see every child participate and what fun we had!

โœ…๐Ÿ“MACSSIS surveys reminder - please complete by 18 September.๐Ÿ“โœ…

If you could spare 10 minutes to fill out MACSISS Survey it would be most appreciated.

This is a very important task as the results will bring clarity to how well the school is meeting the needs of the children, parents and staff as well as providing insights as to the areas for improvement moving forward.

We really value this data. Last year we had 130 families fill out the survey which made a meaningful impact on the data we were able to collect.

Our 2026 numbers are currently low, and we would like to continue last year's momentum.

Please look out for an email from Paul Anderson sent on Monday 31 August, with the survey link and unique pin for your family.

Each survey is anonymous.

Thank you for your time and support in completing the survey

Yesterday, our Year 1 students had a beautiful day at the beach!

We enjoyed a beach comb with the Bellarine Catchment Network, learned about how we can help look after the precious plovers and went on a birdwatch using our fancy binoculars.

A huge thank you to all the wonderful parents who assisted us and helped make this such a special and memorable day for our students. We truly appreciate your support! ๐Ÿ’›

What a beautiful day of learning, exploring and caring for our environment!

Parent Forum โ€“ Supporting Healthy Technology Use at Home

This practical session supports parents in navigating the evolving digital landscape. The forum explores current technology trends, the implications of recent social media law changes, and strategies for setting clear and confident boundaries around technology use. Parents will gain practical language and tools to support positive online behaviour, strengthen communication with their children, and create consistent expectations for technology use both at home and at school.

Rory the Science Guy visited our Year 1 students today and what an unforgettable experience it was! The children were amazed by exciting chemical science experiments, including elephant toothpaste, giant bubbles, colour-changing reactions, dry ice experiments and more. There was plenty of laughter, curiosity, and hands-on learning. We had an absolute blast!

The excitement isn't over yet...Year 2, you're next!

This week our Year 1, 2 and 3 students had the wonderful opportunity to take part in an engaging Indonesian cultural incursion facilitated by Pak Bayu Prihantoro.

Students explored Indonesian culture through authentic dance cultural experiences that brought their learning to life. It was a fantastic way to deepen students' understanding of one of Australia's closest neighbours while celebrating the richness and diversity of Indonesian culture.

A huge thank you to the Australia-Indonesia Institute for making this experience possible through their generous grant support. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to provide our students with meaningful intercultural learning experiences.

Thank you also to Helena Anggraeni from Dromana College for coordinating this wonderful program and to Pak Bayu Prihantoro for sharing his knowledge, passion and culture with our students.

Terima kasih! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฉโค๏ธ

Indonesian Day was fantastis!! (Indonesian for fantastic)
We started our day with an assembly and Indonesian dancing with Widya Luvtari .

Students rotated through lots of different Indonesian activities including; cooking, dancing, sport, games and puppet making. It was so wonderful to learn more about Indonesian culture.
Semua orang menikmati. Everyone enjoyed it.
