𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙮 to learn of the passing of Matt Lees last Tuesday.
He was known to many at Oatley West Public School, not only as the beloved husband of Liz and doting dad to their three kids, but also a lovely, lovely man with a very big heart.
Matt and Liz have been long-time supporters of CommFest and did all of the CommFest banner printing. He even helped with the banner sticker printing despite being unwell two years ago.
Our thoughts and support go out to the Lees family during these trying times. Liz’s cousin has also set up a GoFundMe page https://gofund.me/2a26103e6 to help the Lees family ease costs for funeral arrangements, the Christmas period, and allowing the family time to rest and adjust to the new year and a new way of life.
Rest in peace Matt.

You who seek a noble calling.
Unwavering, steadfast.
You who steadfastly unlock our potentials.
Tirelessly, endlessly.
Over and over, a calm and meandering river.
You who quell our quivering hearts and steady our trembling hands.
A sparkling oasis in a barren desert.
You who understand our dreams and desires, our fears and trepidations.
Over and over, a protective guardian.
You who carry a beacon of light.
Even when you grow weary.
You who forge a path to enlightenment.
Even when the roads are dark and uncertain.
Over and over, an indomitable spirit.
Thank you. Our formative years have been made richer with your reassuring presence.
Who was the grand winner of the enormous Cellar?
Thank you to all you amazing people for donating fine wine, beer and spirits to the highly engaging Keys to the Cellar played at Opening Night.
Thanks to those who bought keys, Keys to the Cellar remains a highly entertaining way to raise funds for our school.
