🖤💛❤️ Celebrating NAIDOC Week at GRC Oatley 💙💚🤍

Students and staff came together to celebrate NAIDOC Week through a range of engaging activities, including trivia, bracelet making and crafts, nostalgic sports and a m***i day in support of the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.

These activities provided opportunities for our school community to learn, connect and celebrate the rich cultures, histories and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

A special thank you to Peta La Motte and the entire NAIDOC Week team for the time, care and dedication that went into planning and delivering such meaningful experiences for our students. Your commitment helped create a week of learning, celebration and community that was enjoyed by all.

Together, we continue to strengthen our understanding, celebrate culture and foster respect across our school community.

Our Environment Committee has been hard at work, celebrating the successful removal of another invasive w**d from our school grounds. Every step we take helps protect our local environment.

Congratulations to our Georges River College Stage Band and Concert Band on their outstanding achievement at the Australian School Band and Orchestra Festival, where both ensembles were awarded Silver.

This recognition is a testament to the dedication, talent and countless hours of rehearsal by our students, as well as the outstanding guidance and commitment of our teachers.

We are incredibly proud of your performances and the way you represented the college with excellence, professionalism and passion.

🏐 Top 8 in NSW! 🏐

An outstanding achievement by our Girls Volleyball Team, finishing 8th in the NSW State Volleyball Championships!

Competing against the best school teams in the state, our students demonstrated exceptional skill, teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. We are incredibly proud of the way they represented Georges River College Oatley Senior Campus.
