A huge thank you to Miss Thompson for sharing such wonderful and engaging activities with our students throughout the week. We’ve loved seeing everyone learning, laughing and building their numeracy skills along the way!

Today we celebrated Jersey Day. Students were able to wear a jersey of a team they supported, are a part of or simply something sporty. We honoured the day by celebrating life, our favourite teams and being happy 🙂 Thank you to the SRC representatives who made the day happen.

This week, students across all stages came together to celebrate their love of reading and the joy of sharing stories with others.

Students from Kindergarten to Year 6 participated in Buddy Reading, connecting across the grades to share their favourite books, discover new stories and showcase pieces of their own writing.

It was wonderful to see students encouraging one another, sharing their enthusiasm for literacy and building a strong reading community across our school. 💙📖

🌟 Celebrating Success at Oakville Public School! 🌟

We are incredibly proud to share the outcome of our 2026 External Validation, which has affirmed the wonderful work happening across our school.

Of the 14 elements within the School Excellence Framework, 10 were validated as Excelling, with the remaining 4 validated as Sustaining and Growing. This is an outstanding result and reflects the commitment, expertise and hard work of our staff, alongside the support of our students, families and wider school community.

External Validation provides an important opportunity to reflect deeply on our practices, celebrate our strengths and identify where we can continue to grow.

We are very proud of what we have achieved together and remain committed to continually improving outcomes and opportunities for every student.

Well done, OPS!

Yesterday, the Arts Unit joined us at school to work with some of our Stage 2 and 3 students to create a beautiful mural outside our school office. Our students had a wonderful time sharing their creativity and helping bring this vibrant artwork to life! 🌈✨

We’re so excited to see the mural continue to grow when Part 2 takes place in Week 9. We can’t wait to see the finished masterpiece! 🎨👏
