Using real names
All users interacting with the APPS Community page, either by liking or commenting on posts, must do so using a Facebook account that clearly identifies them by their real name. People under the age of 13 are prohibited by Facebook’s Terms and Conditions from creating an account therefore the APPS’s Community page is a forum for adults to communicate and demonstrate appropriate and positive online behaviour. Interaction
Initially, users will have permission to comment on photo’s or other postings. Users will also be able to ‘like’ a post by clicking the ’like’ button. We encourage users not to ask questions using Facebook, as we will not be administering the site 24/7. If users do comment, we ask not to use student or staff names or anything inappropriate. This page is seen as a positive form of communication between the school and its community. Any negative remarks or statements will be seen as a breach of this Code of Conduct. Users will not be able to author a posting of their own or upload media (photos or video). These permissions will be reviewed over a trial period, and assessments will be made about increased access based on use. Underage Facebook Users
APPS Community is aware that children under the age of 13 years are not able to create their own Facebook account, in accordance with Facebook’s Terms & Conditions. We encourage children, under parent supervision, to view our page. We believe our community conduct on our page will serve as role modelling for our students about how to behave in a social media environment. Friending teachers on Facebook
