Celebrating 50 years of Dance

This is all very exciting , and thank you to Jade for all her help in getting this up and running.

Please note the cut off date . This is so we can get the orders in and shirts back as quickly as possible.

I have decided , in order to keep this tidy, and leave no room for mistakes, ALL t-shirts are taken be ordered online. Thank you.

(Please note adults sizes XS - XL, are equal to 6-20.) There are shirts at class for you to try for size.
Parents are more than welcome to order as well.

I haven’t mentioned we were doing classes (mainly) Saturday mornings, at St Augustine’s Anglican Church Hall, John Street Oakey. From what I remember, a very small room with a kitchen??
Our Annual Concerts were held at Oakey State High School Assembly Hall.
Our Mums sewed all of our costumes. Taffeta, tuelle, poplin, curtain material, sear sucker, and not many stretchy fabrics in those days. Sequins , Ric-Rac and braids were sewn on.

Congratulations to Summer, and Lucy (from Dalby Academy of Dance)on a beautiful performance tonight- Toowoomba Ballet Theatre’s production of Oz.
They have put in a huge effort and have been committed to rehearsals their entire holidays. We are very proud of you both.
Thank you to those who were able to come and see Summer and Lucy perform.

This was our first concert program - 1976.
Check out some of the songs back then!
We had about 16 ballet students and 12 jazz students. For a few years, Debbie’s (Head) ballet friends from Beth Nugent’s School of Dance, came from Toowoomba to provide dance items to fill our program for the evening.
My bff Shelle and I had our photo taken with Debbie after the concert.
