Certificate I in Retail Services
This course is designed for people with a disability looking to develop skills to work in the retail sector.
Participants will gain hands on experience in retail basics within our Mini Woolies and The Retail Room store.
In class support for learners who have enrolled with a disability is available.
A pathway could be offered to continue studies in Certificate II in Retail Services.
This course is delivered in our Mini Woolies training store and The Retail Room trading store and through a mix of theory and practical work the student learns new skills to:
β’ Work safely
β’ Communicate in the workplace to support team and customer outcomes
β’ Organise personal work requirements
β’ Plan a career in the retail industry
β’ Work effectively in a service industry
The skills developed in retail are transferrable across all industries and include problem solving, effective communication and working well under pressure.
