Last Thursday SRC students and future leaders attended the Shellharbour Youth Summit. They represented our school beautifully, interacting with council members, a range of community services and other students from local schools. The focus was on Technology and Leadership, with a strong focus on AI.
Our very own Will G (Year 11) was one of the guest speakers who spoke about his business and the way technology has allowed him to network around the world and promote his business. We are so proud of you Will!

✨ LITTLE LIGHTS PLAYGROUP IS RETURNING IN TERM 4! ✨

We are excited to welcome families back to Little Lights Playgroup, a community initiative of Corpus Christi Catholic High School, Oak Flats. 💛

🌟 Our Philosophy
Little Lights is founded on our Catholic values of care, respect, compassion and community. We aim to build trusting and caring relationships between our school and the parents and carers of our local community.

Our playgroup provides a safe, secure and welcoming environment where young children can explore, play and interact with others, while parents and carers have the opportunity to connect and build friendships of their own. 🧸🌈

Run by our Stage 5 Child Studies students
A special part of Little Lights is the opportunity for our Stage 5 Child Studies students to put their learning into practice. Under the guidance of their teachers, our students interact with the children and families, developing their practical skills, confidence and understanding of working with young children.

Through meaningful interactions between children, parents/carers and our young adults, Little Lights aims to create a caring community where everyone feels welcomed and valued. 💕

What's On This Week

For the second year running, our students have won the STEM category at Tournament of Minds! They did incredibly well in a highly competitive category and will now go to the State Final in three weeks time. The team consisting of Taylah B, Jacob F, Stella M, Carys N, Avonleigh S, Sebastian S and Charlotte W did an incredible job in both the Long Term Challenge and Spontaneous Challenge.

We also had two year 7 teams in the Social Sciences and Language Literature categories who represented the school with great enthusiasm and teamwork. We have a great future in Tournament of Minds in Millicent U, Luca W, Lani G, Yasmin G, Gabby P, Samara K, Suzie A, Amaya K, Bianca P, Sophie D, Sophie D and Alexia D.

These opportunities would not be possible without dedicated staff giving up their time and energy to support our students. I would like to publicly acknowledge and thank Mrs Morrisey for her time, effort and dedication in this year's tournament. Your guidance and encouragement of all three groups gave them the confidence to perform so well today, so thank you! It was a huge undertaking and you did incredibly well.

Further to this, thank you to Mr Bellhouse for running spontaneous challenges with the groups in their preparation and your support today. Your knowledge of the inner workings of the tournament are priceless!
