Hi, I'm Nichole, most of you know me as Nic!

My hope for every early childhood educator? That you find real joy in children's play and learning, every single day.

That you feel proud of this industry and the impact you have on shaping the communities of tomorrow.

Those of us with experience and love for this work have a responsibility to support the next generation, and help you feel strong and in control of your own career path.

That's what our services are all about. Yes, you'll leave with practical skills but more than that, you'll leave reminded of why you chose this career, connected to other educators, and inspired all over again.

Fun. Joy. Confidence. That's what I'm here for πŸ’›

Our favourite week of the year is back! 81 years of Book Week in Australia with a 2026 theme of "Symphony of Stories" and we could not love it more.

This years artist says "I decided to try and show what stepping into a symphony of stories might be like. A huge colourful collection of characters bursting out of a book representing their different stories with weird and wonderful instruments." – Briony Stewart

That's what story books are all about, imagination, creativity and possibility ✨

Simply reading the words isn't the same as understanding what they mean, and that leap to comprehension is the goal.

So how do we encourage comprehension?

Asking deeper questions that challenge the connection between the words and what's actually being communicated, such as:
✨Why did the character do that?
✨What happened first?
✨What is the lesson?
✨What might happen next?

This is why stories teach better than any list - the context is what builds curiosity, prediction and deeper understanding that teaches children how to think more clearly 🧠
