What a glorious day! Sun shining, happy children, full attendance and it's Friday! Does it get better? We have also been fascinated to see and hear the huge flocks of currawongs and ibises that are visiting Nymboida at the moment.

Last week we travelled to Tucabia PS to participate in writing workshops with our friends from Tucabia, Baryulgil and Cowper. Students enjoyed working and sharing ideas in larger class settings and meeting up with, or reconnecting, with friends. Students also loved experimenting with lift, weight, drag and thrust in paper plane science activities. I think the biggest thrill of the day was meeting the four legged, furry 'students', Flash and Bonnie!
Thank you to the staff and students at Tucabia PS for making us feel so welcome.

What a week! Congratulations to our assembly award recipients!! Also a big congratulations to our Spelling Bee competitors, Jax and Bailey! What a nerve wracking experience, but you both did so well!

Congratulations to our budding author, Azarliah, whose story was shortlisted in The Long Way Home Writing Competition. Her story will be published later this year. Well done, Azarliah!

Last Friday's Movie night was awesome! We enjoyed a BBQ dinner, a fire to sit near, a movie, hot choccies, marshmallows and best of all, great company. Thank you to everyone for coming along and most of all to the P & C for the organisation! Thanks for sharing your birthday cakes with us, Hector!

On Wednesday and today, Charlotte represented the Clarence Valley Small Schools (and Nymboida PS) in discus and the 100m sprint at the Clarence District Athletics carnival. Charlotte placed 5th in discus and made it through to the finals of the sprint! What a great effort from our sporty student. Congratulations, Charlotte!
