Our Commercial Cookery students are certainly making a lot progress in their technique as well as presentation. Congratulations Ebony from Noego Coffee Company, Guillerme from Burleigh Bears Leagues Club, Brett from Links Hope Island, Codi from CSi Club Southport, Emma from RSL Club Southport for putting together such beautiful looking dishes!

Training with Commercial Cookery students in Bundaberg this week. Suraj from Kacys Motel Bargara Restaurant and Wine Bar had the dish of the day – Seafood Paella! Too good to eat I reckon!

What other region specific foods can we come up with?

Only a pie if it’s made in Australia... if not would that just make it an enclosed savoury pastry elsewhere?

The obvious one to me is a potato scallop. Clearly they are only produced in QLD.... anywhere else it’s just a potato cake... and dare I say it, not as good...
