Baala Connemaras

When your mums cut your hair just before school photos 🤣🤣🤣
Poor Bertie's forelock was so long he was getting it in his dinner so I trimmed it and was a bit too enthusiastic. But looking pretty fantastic for a 25yo boy.

Baala All That Jazz
9.12.2013 - 29.7.2026

Last night we had to make the devastating decision to put Jazz to sleep after scans revealed an injury to her deep digital tendon and infection in the tendon sheath. With a very small chance of a successful outcome, and with her being in quite a bit of pain, it was decided that the kindest option was to let her go.
She was a one of a kind pony, always wanting to be involved with everything, loved giving pony rides to kids and always enjoying a cuddled.
She was utterly irreplaceable and we miss her hanging over the gate.
Rest easy Jazzy pants, may you find lots of green grass and carrots xx

Bertie (Garnet Liberty) enjoying his dinner last night after the rain. He gives you the dirtiest look if the person delivering the hay arrives before the person with the hard feed. Someone might be spoiled 🤣

I was so pleased with how Jazz went. 😁

A bit of a belated post- it's been a hectic few weeks but we once any made the annual pilgrimage up to Wagga Wagga for Aonach on the St Patrick Day weekend. We took Lili (Baala Lili Marlene) and Jazz (Baala All That Jazz).
Always a fun weekend and great catching up with old friends.

Results for the weekend:
Lili was
4th in Prep dressage
1st in Led Pure-bred Connemara Mare
1st in 2 of a Kind (with her brother Bill (Baala Beersheba))
1st in Exhibitors Group (with Jazz)

Jazz was
3rd in 60cm Working Hunter
1st Prelim Dressage
3rd Novice Dressage
1st in Exhibitors Group (with Lili)

Jazz was then commandeered for the Junior ring where she was able to indulge in her preferred career as a kids pony.

Jazz was also Runner-up Best Performed Part-bred for the second year in a row.

Big thanks to the committee for putting on yet another great weekend- see you all next year 😀

A successful day at Werribee on Sunday. We took two of the girls- Lili (Baala Lili Marlene- Sternbergs Lenaro IMP x Monahan Viola) and her sister Rain (Baala Drops of Jupiter- Exmoor Orion x Monahan Viola).

Lili was
Runner Up Led Senior Mountain and Moorland in the APSB Pony of the Year.

And in the Rare Breed Ring
1st Connemara Mare 4 and over
Reserve Champion Connemara Mare
1st Ridden Connemara Mare

Rain had her first outing and was
1st Connemara Filly 3 and under
Champion Connemara Mare

No photos of them in the ring unfortunately. But was very happy with how Rain went with her first show- she will be heading off to the breaker later this year and then be offered for sale.
