🏀 Hoops, Skills & Plenty of Fun! 🏀

Today our students hit the court for some fantastic basketball clinics with the JackJumpers.

It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn new basketball skills, build their confidence and, most importantly, have fun.

A huge thank you to the JackJumpers for visiting our school and sharing your passion for basketball with our students. We loved having you here.

🌿Bush Kinder with our Kinder Dads🌿

Today our Kinder Dads joined us for a wonderful morning of Bush Kinder.

With beautiful weather on our side, we enjoyed exploring, playing and learning together in our nature space. There were plenty of smiles, laughter and special moments shared.

We then finished our morning with a lovely morning tea together.

What a wonderful morning of connection, nature and community.

A big thank you to our Kinder Dads for joining us and making the morning so special.

The grade 9/10 English class have been studying Shakespeare’s Macbeth and today, we held a class debate in response to the question:

The play, Macbeth, explores the theme of guilt. Who is most responsible for the series of murders that occur? The Witches, Lady Macbeth or Macbeth himself?
In other words: who is most to blame for the events that unfold in Shakespeare’s pages?

Students were organised into teams and given a position to argue. The evidence-based prosecution of the various characters, public speaking and respectful listening students displayed were exemplary. Everyone should be incredibly proud of themselves.

Thank you to the families who could come along and listen, and support us. It was great to be able to share our learning with you.

Tasman takes the premiership!!

In a beautiful day for football yesterday, our secondary boys competed in the final round of the Reclink Football Districts tournament and after a hard-fought grand final against strong competitors Campania, we finished the day with a 5 point win!

The Tasman team displayed great sportsmanship throughout the entire tournament, encouraging players of all schools involved and always happy to jump on with other schools to help field teams when they were short players.

A strong team spirit, good leadership and a willingness to push outside their comfort zones (leading to some very sore bodies!) gave the team the edge to nudge out the unbeaten Campania side.

Thanks to all the parents who supported the football tournament and to Reclink for providing this opportunity for our students.

Congratulations to the team on the result and know that we are proud of the way you conducted yourselves on and off the field.

🌟 Terrapin Puppet Show 🌟

Our Year 1/2/3 class created a shadow puppet show from start to finish, using storytelling, speaking, and listening skills to bring their ideas to life.

Every student played an important role, from performers and puppeteers to background artists and sound effect creators. It was wonderful to see their creativity, teamwork, and confidence shine throughout the project.

Well done to all involved! 👏🎭✨
