This morning, the Shoalhaven Business Chamber and Shoalhaven City Council joined forces to walk through the Nowra CBD and take a closer look at the issues affecting our local businesses.

Together, we identified areas needing attention and discussed both short-term fixes and longer-term improvements to help make our CBD safer, cleaner, more welcoming and better for businesses, workers and visitors.

We also delivered the ‘Connect & Thrive’ brochures to local shopkeepers, giving businesses a simple guide to who to contact when they have an issue or need help navigating a Council matter.

Business After Hours at TAFE NSW 🎓🤝

A huge thank you to TAFE NSW in Bomaderry and the Destiny’s Restaurant for hosting the Shoalhaven Business Chamber’s Business After Hours tonight and welcoming our business community through the doors.

It was a fantastic opportunity for TAFE NSW to showcase what they do and the important role they play in training and supporting our local workforce, while giving our business community the chance to network, make new connections and catch up with fellow business owners.

A special thank you to Deputy Mayor Peter Wilkins and Clr Lou Casmiri for joining us, as well as the President and Vice President of the Berry Chamber of Commerce and the President of the Shoalhaven Heads Chamber of Commerce & Tourism. It was great to have our local Chambers connecting and supporting one another.

And speaking of Chambers… a huge congratulations to Shoalhaven Heads Chamber of Commerce & Tourism, who are finalists for Chamber of the Year at the upcoming Business Illawarra Awards! 🏆 We know a little something about that award, having taken it home last year 😉 — so we’ll be cheering you on!
