Thank you Idlewild Patisserie (Daisy Macindoe) for creating an extraordinary cake that captured Lyrebird Preschool perfectly!

Back in September I had the absolute honour of creating a cake to celebrate 50 years of , a place with a beautiful history of nurturing children through nature, play, curiosity and connection.

I had the privilege of collaborating with the wonderful teachers to include the children’s own words about what Lyrebird means to them on the cake.

Huge thanks to Elite Laser Creations for kindly donating the stunning custom toppers - they completed the design perfectly.

Creating this piece felt less like making a cake and more like contributing to a story — one that has been growing for half a century.
