We are incredibly proud to see our Sir Hubert Wilkins Year 8 Camp recognised as an Exemplary Program recipient in the 2026 Outdoor Education Australia Awards.

This recognition is a testament to the passion, dedication and innovation of our outstanding Outdoor Education faculty, who continue to create meaningful experiences that challenge and inspire our students.

The Sir Hubert Wilkins Camp provides a unique opportunity for Year 8 students to step outside their comfort zones, develop resilience, leadership and independence, connect with culture and Country, and make a genuine contribution through service learning. These experiences leave a lasting impact long after the camp has ended.

Read Outdoor Education Australia's full post below.

Today we head south to Adelaide, where Lutheran independent school Immanuel College is our next Exemplary Program recipient in the 2026 Outdoor Education Australia Awards.

The College is being recognised for its Sir Hubert Wilkins Year 8 Camp, an innovative place-based Outdoor Education experience that takes students from Adelaide to Mount Bryan East in South Australiaโ€™s Mid North, connecting challenge and personal growth with culture, community, service and the remarkable history of the region.

Established in 2022, the program takes students to the birthplace of celebrated South Australian polar explorer, aviator and scientist Sir Hubert Wilkins. Through hiking, navigation, bushcraft, environmental learning and reflection, students build resilience, independence, teamwork and leadership while learning about Ngadjuri culture, connection to Country and the responsibility of caring for the environment.

Importantly, students also give back. Through service projects helping restore and maintain Wilkinsโ€™ birthplace and the former Mount Bryan East School, they make a tangible contribution to preserving local heritage.

In just a few years, the camp has become a flagship Year 8 experience at Immanuel College, with students describing lasting gains in confidence, independence and achievement.

Congratulations to the Immanuel College Outdoor Education team on this well-deserved recognition.

This is what Intercol is all about. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

Across an incredible week of sport against Scotch College, Immanuel students gave everything on the field, court, and pitch, delivering outstanding performances across every competition.

What made the week truly special was the way our community showed up. The noise, the passion, the support, and the school spirit from students, staff and families, made every moment unforgettable.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Intercol 2026 one to remember. Go Doves!

Thank you to all our Immanuel College parents and caregivers who joined us last night for the latest session in our Positive Parenting Seminar Series with psychologist Dr David Scholz.

Exploring the question, "Why is my teen struggling?", Dr Scholz shared valuable insights into adolescent behaviour, motivation, wellbeing, and the unique challenges facing young people today. Families left with practical strategies to strengthen connections and support their teens with empathy and confidence.

Thank you to Dr Scholz and everyone who attended for contributing to such an engaging and meaningful evening. We look forward to continuing these important conversations through future Positive Parenting Seminar events.

IMMANUEL TAKES THE BIG THREE!

The Dance Ultra Finals was an unforgettable night. Our Immanuel Open Troupe Dancers took home 1st place in Open Lyrical, Open Hip Hop and Open Jazz for the first time ever! ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†

Adding to the celebrations, Year 12 student Darcey won the Broadway Jazz Solo Shield with a standout performance!

As proud hosts of this amazing event, our dancers didn't just shine on stage. They also helped bring the competition to life, assisting with everything from stage management to the canteen and event operations.

A huge congratulations to every dancer, staff member and supporter who made the night so special. Next stop: Nationals in Queensland and then Showcase!

๐Ÿ† 10A1 SHIELD CHAMPIONS! ๐Ÿ†

What a season for our Year 10A1 football team! The Doves have claimed the 10A1 Shield for the first time in Immanuel College history, defeating Sacred Heart College 8.8 (56) to 6.4 (40) in a thrilling Grand Final.

A dominant final quarter saw Immanuel kick 4.4 while keeping Sacred Heart to just one behind, completing an incredible comeback and securing a memorable 16-point victory.

A win that will undoubtedly go down in Immanuelโ€™s sporting history.

A huge congratulations to every player who represented the Year 10A team throughout 2026. Their commitment, resilience and belief never wavered.๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ‰

Whether youโ€™re bravely stepping up for the clip, cut or donation or even cheering on your friends, there is a place for everyone at Clippers for a Cause.

Letโ€™s come together as an Immanuel community, have some fun and make a real difference to the lives of children and families affected by childhood cancer.
