A celebration of connection, legacy, and lifelong friendships. 💙

Our annual Senior Old Scholars Assembly brought together 185 Old Scholars who first attended Immanuel College more than 60 years ago. From the Class of 1966 through to our eldest attendee, Valda, aged 98, whose Immanuel journey began in 1941.

From reconnecting with classmates to sharing treasured memories, it was a wonderful reminder that once you are part of the Immanuel community, you are always part of it.

Thank you to our student leaders and Year 12s for helping honour the remarkable generations who have shaped our school over the decades.

Psychology in action!

As part of their study of Lifespan Development, our Year 11 Psychology students visited a Reception class at Immanuel Primary School to see developmental theories come to life. Through observing play and interactions, students gained valuable insights into how young children learn, socialise, and engage with others.

A fantastic opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences. We couldn't be prouder of the way our students engaged with and supported the younger learners.

Our Science Team recently celebrated National Science Week 2026.

This year's theme, 'Seeds of Science: Nurturing Knowledge for All', inspired students to explore, discover and engage with the world of science through quizzes, hands-on activities and exciting demonstrations.

It was fantastic to see so many students getting involved, asking questions, exploring a variety of concepts and celebrating science in our everyday lives.

Book Week 2026: Symphony of Stories 🎶📚

Last week, Immanuel College celebrated Book Week with a vibrant program of reading, creativity and music. From scavenger hunts and bookmark competitions, live library performances by our talented student musicians, and a colourful Casual Clothes Day supporting the ‘Indigenous Literacy Foundation’, students embraced the power of storytelling in all its forms.

A wonderful celebration of imagination, community and a love of reading! 📖

Clippers for a Cause🎗️

Over $14,000 raised and counting! We are so close to our $15,000 fundraising goal for the Unite 4 Kids Foundation.

As we count down to 16 September, our students and staff are preparing to shave, cut and donate their hair in support of children and families impacted by childhood cancer.

A huge congratulations to our Top 10 Student Fundraisers, whose dedication and enthusiasm have helped drive this incredible result.

We are incredibly proud to see our Sir Hubert Wilkins Year 8 Camp recognised as an Exemplary Program recipient in the 2026 Outdoor Education Australia Awards.

This recognition is a testament to the passion, dedication and innovation of our outstanding Outdoor Education faculty, who continue to create meaningful experiences that challenge and inspire our students.

The Sir Hubert Wilkins Camp provides a unique opportunity for Year 8 students to step outside their comfort zones, develop resilience, leadership and independence, connect with culture and Country, and make a genuine contribution through service learning. These experiences leave a lasting impact long after the camp has ended.

Today we head south to Adelaide, where Lutheran independent school Immanuel College is our next Exemplary Program recipient in the 2026 Outdoor Education Australia Awards.

The College is being recognised for its Sir Hubert Wilkins Year 8 Camp, an innovative place-based Outdoor Education experience that takes students from Adelaide to Mount Bryan East in South Australia’s Mid North, connecting challenge and personal growth with culture, community, service and the remarkable history of the region.

Established in 2022, the program takes students to the birthplace of celebrated South Australian polar explorer, aviator and scientist Sir Hubert Wilkins. Through hiking, navigation, bushcraft, environmental learning and reflection, students build resilience, independence, teamwork and leadership while learning about Ngadjuri culture, connection to Country and the responsibility of caring for the environment.

Importantly, students also give back. Through service projects helping restore and maintain Wilkins’ birthplace and the former Mount Bryan East School, they make a tangible contribution to preserving local heritage.

In just a few years, the camp has become a flagship Year 8 experience at Immanuel College, with students describing lasting gains in confidence, independence and achievement.

Across an incredible week of sport against Scotch College, Immanuel students gave everything on the field, court, and pitch, delivering outstanding performances across every competition.

What made the week truly special was the way our community showed up. The noise, the passion, the support, and the school spirit from students, staff and families, made every moment unforgettable.

Thank you to all our Immanuel College parents and caregivers who joined us last night for the latest session in our Positive Parenting Seminar Series with psychologist Dr David Scholz.

Exploring the question, "Why is my teen struggling?", Dr Scholz shared valuable insights into adolescent behaviour, motivation, wellbeing, and the unique challenges facing young people today. Families left with practical strategies to strengthen connections and support their teens with empathy and confidence.

Thank you to Dr Scholz and everyone who attended for contributing to such an engaging and meaningful evening. We look forward to continuing these important conversations through future Positive Parenting Seminar events.
