What a wonderful night of music at Marryatville in Concert! 🎶✨
We’re so grateful to everyone who came along to support the concert and help make it such a memorable evening.

A huge thank you to our incredible ensemble directors for their passion, dedication, encouragement, and countless hours of work behind the scenes. Your leadership inspires us to keep growing, creating, and sharing the joy of music.

And of course, thank you to all our wonderful performers, families, supporters, and audience members. We couldn’t do it without you! ❤️🎵

In Week 5, MHS celebrated Science Week, with this year’s theme, “Seeds of Science: Nurturing Knowledge for All”, providing a great opportunity to celebrate curiosity, and the role of science in our everyday lives.

Students had a variety of opportunities to get involved during lunchtime on Wednesday and Friday, with activities including assembling LED torches, creating science-themed badges, an impressive chemistry demonstration, exploring dry ice, a science quiz with prizes and a ‘Guess the Seed’ competition (complete with a tasty seed-based treat to try at the end!)

Science Week also made its way into our classrooms, with teachers adding some fun and creative activities to their regular Science lessons and giving students the chance to celebrate Science in different ways.

It was fantastic to see so many students getting involved, asking questions, experimenting and, most importantly, having fun with Science. 🧪🌱🔬

🎉 Congratulations to the 500 students across 39 teams who competed across a multitude of sports during the winter sport season.

🏆 Special highlights included Netball Grand Final wins for our Opens, Year 9s and Year 8s who have now gone back to back.

🏀⚽ In Year 7 we had 3 Boys Basketball and 2 Soccer teams playing together for the first time with each team achieving very successful results.

🏸 Our Girls Badminton teams had over 60 students competing this season with multiple finals appearances from Year 7 to Opens.

👏 Thank you to all of our coaches that included teaching staff, parents, current year 12 students, former students and members of the community who enjoy being a part of the Marryatville community, go Trees!

Our Year 7s had a great time at Science Alive last week! The next generation of scientists had fun interacting with a variety of interactive displays and presentations. This helped to strengthen their passion for Science, and gain insight into the world of STEM.

Students will be continuing with all things Science as we head into Science Week in week 5 this term!! 👩‍🔬🧬🔭

🌿 On Friday 31 July, Marryatville High School celebrated National Tree Day by planting native vegetation along the creek at our back oval.

🌱 The experience allowed Marryatville students to improve the local environment and develop a connection to the beautiful grounds that make our school both beautiful and unique.

👏 We would like to thank Bunnings (Mile End and Kent Town) for donating their resources and time to this wonderful community event, to Burnside Council for the generous plant donations, for our Governing Council Members (Sally Bolton and Cressida O'Hanlon MP) who attended, and everyone who contributed to making the day special! 💚
