Prince Alfred College Boarding House updates and information. We teach our students to question what lies ahead of them and to think creatively.

Prince Alfred College is a day and boarding school for boys, located on the fringe of the Adelaide Parklands in South Australia. We offer boarding from Year 7 to Year 12 for Australian and International Students and are an accredited IB World School. In the senior years our students have the opportunity to study the International Baccalaureate Diploma, the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) or an engaging Vocational Education Training Programme. Our core curriculum is a unique combination of traditional values and progressive thinking.

Term 4, we are back!! And what a start it was. Last night, we celebrated our last formal dinner as a whole house for 2026. It was a wonderful occasion full of bright colours (the theme), plenty of smiles, and a delicious meal of pork ribs and chips. As the last formal dinner with Year 12s in residence, it was only fitting that the winners of the quiz were Year 12s. Thanks to all who came along and supported the boys.

Today was a special day in the house. Not only was is the first day of Term 4, but it was also delivery day... This evening we proudly distributed this year's version of the Boarders' Herald to all the boys and residents in the house. In it's 17th iteration this year, it is always great handing them out and seeing the boys celebrate themselves and our wonderful community. Thank you to all who contributed, and make sure to look out for your copy soon!

Term 4 has officially started with the departure of Wambana group 4. Beautiful morning at the docks with a strong wind to help them across the gulf.

Day 6 - Our final day saw us start at South Pacific Seeds to see the massive set up for processing seeds for distribution all over the world. We then moved on to Cleardale station where we loaded up into some 4wds and toured the Marino and Angus production and also their own hydro power station. With some manic transfers due to flight delays and some running through Melbourne airport we arrived home safe, although some luggage still coming later today.

Day 5 - What better way to start then with a bungy or swing! The group then headed to Wanaka for lunch, stopped to see a 28-span pivot, before finishing the day with some hot pools, steak and chips and sticky date.

Day 4 - Today the group headed off to Queenstown via Twizel and the High Country Salmon experience. The drive had lots of great views and night finished with a snitzel.

Day 3 Lincoln University- Today we had presentations on sheep and wool, regenerative and conventional farming practices, Canterbury w**e industry and finished with an agribusiness activity. Dinner onsite and then sunset from Cashmere Hill lookout.

Lincoln University Agtour Day 1 & 2. After a big day of travel we had a tour of campus today. We got to see the main labs, attended a lecture on legumes, toured accomodation, watched some cricket and ate in the dining hall.

During the final week of term 3, we also selected our boarding student leaders for 2026-2027.
