Boarding Prince Alfred College Boarding House updates and information. We teach our students to question what lies ahead of them and to think creatively.

Last week we said farewell to Pauline, one of our beloved nurses who has decided to enjoy a well earnt retirement after 45 years as a nurse. Pauline has been at the College since 2020, and was always a friendly and caring presence for our boys in the Boarding House or in the Health Centre. We wish you all the best for the future Pauline, thanks for everything! 🔴⚪🔴

Exeat weekend coming up will clear a lot of the house, and no scheduled activities. Thankfully, we had enough activities last weekend for two weekends. A total of seven last weekend got the boys out and about, engaged, having fun, and just having a go. Another great weekend of boarding done right!! Thanks boys.

Our final Well-Being Wednesday of Term 2 and the end of June as Men's Mental Health Month, this is a perfect opportunity to reflect on the term that has been, and to look forward to the next 3 weeks of recharging our physical, mental, social, and academic batteries.

In the spirit of this, last Thursday night our Year 10-12 boys had the honour of hearing Ben Pettingill speak. Ben's story of resilience and making the most out of life was inspiring and insightful. He describes himself as "Just a blind bloke on a mission to make the most out of life & get people talking about the tough stuff."

Thanks for sharing your story with us Ben!

What an absolutely glorious weekend of activities to end out the term! So many great options on offer, and as always, great to see so many boys out doing stuff. We had Friday Night Tech, Magic Maggi Noodles cooking class, a Mount Lofty hike, an AFL game (not pictured), and the inaugural use for boarders of the College's new golf simulators. Like I said, glorious!
