Wiltja Boarding Wiltja Boarding offers a safe home away from home setting for secondary Anangu students coming down from the APY Lands.

Students residing at Wiltja Boarding are enrolled at Avenue Secondary College….(WB itself is not a registered school). "Wiltja is a school for Anangu that helps our children stay and finish Year 12. We like the way Wiltja works to improve opportunities for our students and are pleased with their progress. Wiltja has been working for our children's futures for a very long time and is helping to keep our communities strong." - Katrina Tjitayi, School Improvement Coordinator, AES.

Holiday time, is Family time ❤️

Hi Families,
Just letting you all know that the Wiltja students return home tomorrow for end of term 1 holidays……PYEC will be picking up the students from Marla on Wednesday and bringing them back to Communities…..The students have had a busy term learning lots at school, and have done some amazing things, but it’s time to relax now and enjoy being home. We hope you all have an amazing break and we will see you all again in about three weeks…..We will miss you all!! 🥰👍🏼😎 Keep watching this space for some photos 😁

Well, that’s a wrap!! What a privilege to be working with PYEC (Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Education Committee) who have now finished their Wiltja review for 2025……working with this crew (and others not pictured) was fantastic. To learn from them, take advice from them and see the hard work they do for youth and education is amazing. A busy couple of days for everyone so why not finish it off with camp fire and malu wipu (kangaroo tail)

The times are:

8am - Amata

9.30am - Ernabella & Kenmore Park
(Everyone to meet at Ernabella School at 8.30am, then Ernabella will take you to the Umuwa TTC to meet PYEC Mob)

11.30am - Mimili

1.30pm - Indulkana

Happy New Year everyone from all of us at Wiltja 🎆🎉 🎇…….

We are just letting you all know that in 2 weeks (on Friday 31st January) it’s time to come back for school, where there’s lots of learning to be done.
For some there will also be Tjindu, for others football training at Gepps Cross, a camp, and great things for Rec…..so much to do and we can’t wait to see you all…..See you all in 2 weeks, we’re excited!! xx

Hi Wiltja Mob,
On Friday PYEC will be in Community picking up students to start Term 4…..they will come through Communites at these times:

- Amata (meet at Amata school) from 6am (early part)

- Ernabella (will meet at Umuwa TTC) at 8am

- Fregon School from 9.30am

- Mimili School from 11.30am

- Indulkana from 1pm (the stop will be a quick one for 15 mins only)

Hope you’ve had a good break with family and hope you’re ready to start a new term….Next FRIDAY 18th October, PYEC mob will be going to all communities to pick up the Wiltja students…..So if your in Pipalyatjara, Amata, Fregon, Ernabella, Mimili or Indulkana, then get ready, cause it’s time to come learn, time to have fun, time to celebrate another great year, time for family cultural days and for the end of year Christmas celebrations.

Yalata/Oak Valley mob - we will pick you up on Monday 21st October from Ceduna……

Your families, the staff at Wiltja Boarding and Avenues College are very proud of you all for your amazing efforts!! Enjoy your break, have fun and be careful……We will see yous again in a few weeks for the Start of Term 3.

Hi Everyone - Well today is the day. All students will be returning to the lands for the holidays and will be back with families tomorrow (Thursday) Please take care and have a lovely break - We look forward to seeing you all again soon for an exciting Term 4....There's so many good things happening in Term 4 like:
