This is the kind of thing that annoys me and makes me do tutoring. A new student having trouble with chemistry. 3 tutoring sessions with me and she gets 85%. So the student clearly has the ability to do this well but somehow the classroom and school are not providing what she needs. It just feels so unneccesary.

A busy school holidays coming up. Just got this lovely bit of feedback from my work. Apparently my name came up out of the blue while they were at the school!
I just had a meeting with the deputy at [blank]SHS with the deputy who used to be at [blank 2]SHS. She commented about what a great Physics teacher you were and that all the kids improved their grades as a result of their session with you.
