ZUMBA SUMMER 26 PART 2! - Tamula RannaZumba
1. Tamula Rannazumba (beach Zumba). Normally held on the beach, but yeah keep reading 😂. The project is run by the very super ultra fabulous Kristiina Rauba Who had just had her baby, but managed to pull off suchhh a showww! This is the event all the instructors in Estonia look forward to each year ❤️
2. Beach was very beach-y. Just a day earlier and a day later 😂 we had such heavy rain, ‘slippery road’ signs up everywhere, but u know … Zumba people ……..do Zumba anyway 💁‍♀️.

Zumba summer in Estonia pt 1 - first and last class
1. In Australia Zumba is a community. Instructors teach together. After the class people go have a coffee together. Zumba is meant to be shared. This year I experienced that in Estonia. We had wonnnnderful classes & events where multiple instructors shared the dancefloor and brought their people with them. We organised this class as a duo, but somehow FOUR instructors showed up!!
2. ‘Too epic to be true, but here I am with you’. Before the very first class I was walking, putting together a choreo and thinking it IS epic to be HERE WITH YOU. Shed a tear.
3. Gottcha. You got it!!
Zumba adds life to every day, let’s not underestimate that 🫶

2. My mom has another favourite band, but as a mother-daughter duo 2QS is our unbeatable numero uno
3. Who’s a good dooooog Kiira is!!!!!
4. Two things that were weird for me going back home - I would meet people I know every time I went to the store and IT’S SO LIGHT SO LATE IN THE EVENINGS
5. Rally. Estonia hosts a WRC rally every year. We are so proud we meet the high standards. Estonians can make everything happen really
6. Haha us going to an open air performance in June, which is supposed to be a summer month 😂 I wore my winter parka
7. My auntie Triin makes the best potato salad in the world. Lucky she makes it every time I come around 🫶
8. SAUNA! In Estonia u can rent what’s basically a donga but the entire thing is made of mirrored glass. Some of them have saunas too, and all of them are located in forests/ by the lakes. Magnificent
9. Iconic. One of the singers also played in a crime series, which all of the kids my age would binge-watch whenever they stayed home sick from school 😃. I still watch it

Estonia is known for the advanced digital society and beautiful forests (covering more than half of the country!!). Around 75% of us speak at least two languages. And we have come up with the mostest bestest curd desserts - kohupiim and kohuke. National treasures 😌

Midsummer Day celebration in Estonia, aka Jaanipäev

The concept:
1. Gathering with family and friends. In countryside. Lots of food, grilled shashlik being the star of the day.
2. Lightning large bonfire is the central tradition 🔥.
3. Singing traditional songs, dancing, enjoying nature. The day is super long, the sun sets after 11PM, only for couple of hours.

I’m sad to let you know that I’ve pulled my back, so the Zumba class on 17th of May is CANCELLED 🙁

This also marks the end of Zumba season in Northam for now. I hope you had fun, enjoyed the music&choreos, and felt a little silly-goofy-happy.
