It’s wonderful being a Family Day Care Educator in Northam
They’re not “just looking after children.” ❤️
Family Day Care educators are early childhood professionals who choose to open their homes, their hearts and their lives to a small group of children each day.
They’re the ones who notice the tiny changes.
Who know which book will make a child’s face light up.
Who sit beside a nervous little person until they’re ready.
Who turn muddy puddles into learning.
Who celebrate the wobbly first steps, the big questions and the “look what I can do!” moments.
They plan.
They observe.
They reflect.
They learn.
They document.
They advocate.
They create environments where children can belong, be themselves and grow.
And yes… sometimes they do all of that while covered in paint, sand and yesterday’s playdough. 😂
Because professionalism in Family Day Care doesn’t always look like a suit and an office.
Sometimes it looks like bare feet in the garden, sitting on the floor, listening to a three-year-old explain why their stick is actually a dinosaur.
That is the heart of Family Day Care.
Small groups.
Deep relationships.
Big hearts.
Professional educators.
