A huge congratulations to Han on being recognised as our Educator of the Month! 🎉💐

In the short time Han has been part of our team, she has become such a valuable and appreciated member of the Sparrow community. Han is incredibly adaptable, positive and always willing to take on any task with a wonderful attitude. No matter what the day brings, she approaches each challenge with enthusiasm and a willingness to help. 💛

Han has also built such strong and positive relationships with our educators, children and families, which is a wonderful reflection of the care and connection she brings to everything she does.

⚽🌟 CONGRATULATIONS BELLE! 🌟⚽

We are so incredibly proud of our wonderful educator Belle, who recently travelled all the way to Melbourne to represent Western Australia in the Christian Soccer League! 🙌💚

What an incredible achievement and such a fantastic opportunity to compete at a state level. We love seeing our educators pursuing their passions, challenging themselves and representing our community with pride! Not only did Belle’s team come away as champions, Belle was also named in the all star team of the tournament 🤩

Belle, we hope you had an amazing experience, made some wonderful memories and enjoyed every moment on the field. The Sparrow team and children are so proud of you and even watched some of your game at the service! 🥰⚽

🌿 Growing Our Knowledge to Better Support Our Children & Families 🌿

Today, our ECT Chloe A had the wonderful opportunity to attend Trauma-Informed Practice training through the Southern Aboriginal Corporation at Bilya Koort Boodja in Northam.

The training focused on deepening our understanding of trauma and how we can best support vulnerable members of our community. It explored how we can respond thoughtfully and effectively to heightened emotions such as panic, anger and dissociation, with empathy, understanding and compassion. 💚

As educators, we know that every child and family brings their own unique experiences, strengths and stories with them. Continuing to build our knowledge helps us create an environment where children feel safe, understood, supported and that they truly belong.

We are so grateful for opportunities like this coming to Northam and allowing our educators to learn and grow within our own community.

We’re looking forward to Chloe A bringing her learning back to our team and supporting our educators to further strengthen the way we respond to and support the children and families in our care. 🌱

Because supporting children isn’t just about what happens in the classroom, it’s about understanding the whole child, their family and their community. 💚

🏉💜💛 FOOTY COLOURS DAY – FRIDAY 25 SEPTEMBER! 💛💜🏉

With the AFL Grand Final just around the corner, we’re getting into the footy spirit at Sparrow Early Learning Northam!

This Friday 25 September, we invite our children and educators to come dressed in their favourite footy colours to show their support for the team they love. 🏉

And of course, for our Dockers fans, it’s a great chance to wear your purple, red, green and white and show your support for the Fremantle Dockers! 💜❤️💚

But Footy Colours Day can be about more than just footy. ❤️

We encourage our families to also think about someone or something that is important to your family. Perhaps you might wear the colours of a favourite team, a family member’s favourite team, or simply colours that have a special meaning to you.

Most importantly, we are wearing our colours to support Footy Colours Day and the Fight Cancer Foundation, helping children with cancer and their families who may need to travel away from home for treatment. 💛

It’s the quiet observations. The check ins between educators. The careful documentation. The conversations that happen behind the scenes to make sure every child is safe, supported and heard.
