This film was written and directed by Alan Nurthen of the Screen Actors Workshop in Brookvale, Sydney, which we highly recommend if your'e looking for a great place to learn and practice your acting chops!
The Sydney Short Film School has been in operation since 2009, and has taught hundreds of students the art of making film. The Sydney Short Film School runs four 5-week courses throughout the year. There are 5 classroom sessions, with a full-day (usually a Saturday) when the students get together to shoot a short film.
The Sydney Short Film School's curriculum is as follows:-
Session 1 - Screenwriting
Session 2 - Script and Directing
Session 3 - Cinematography, Lighting and Sound
Session 4 - The SHOOT!
Session 5 - Editing
Session 6 - Review and Wrap Up
The Sydney Short Film School is run by Ian Nicholson of Hyperdriven. In 2007, Ian completed a 5-Year Advanced Acting Diploma at the Screen Actors Workshop in Brookvale, Sydney. That same year, heshot Jayce White's short classic, 'Between The Flags' which won Best Comedy and Best Male Actor (Matuse - Underbelly and Fat Pizza) that year. It also starred Dan Feuerriegel of 'Spartacus' fame.
