The work behind the inclusion statement on my website...
Since 2023 I have been doing a piece of work in the background that almost none of you would have seen, and I want to bring it forward now, because it has shaped my Academy more than most of the things I talk about openly.
I have been learning from a woman named Annie Gichuru, and I completed her ten week program REPRESENTED, which is where the inclusion and mission statement that now sits on my website actually came from. It did not come from a template, it came from looking honestly at whether the care I intend is genuinely being felt by every person who walks into one of my trainings, or whether it is mostly being felt by the people who already move through the world the way I do.
That question changed things I did not expect it to change, including how I enrol people, how I hold a room, and how I respond when someone tells me that something did not land the way I meant it.
Annie is running a free live workshop next week called Creating a Culture of Care In Your Online Business, on Tuesday 15 September at 10am AEST, and she will be sharing four principles that help you look at the culture you are actually creating rather than the one you assume you are creating.
