Stage 2 Soccer Gala Day in action ⚽️ 🥅

Congratulations to our week 5 award winners! Special congratulations to our badge recipients, Rhyleiana and Layla!
We also gave out special awards to students who participated in the Science Week Challenge.

Lego club has started for students in Year 1 and 2 this term! Lots of students have been enjoying their lunch times being creative and making Lego masterpieces!

Our library is a calm and welcoming space at lunchtime, thanks to Mrs O’Neil’s wonderful supervision. Students can enjoy passive play activities like chess, drawing, creative writing and reading. It’s a lovely way for students to unwind, connect and explore their interests.

Kindergarten students are exploring the Key Inquiry Question, “What do we notice about living things?”, through a hands‑on Living Things Diorama project where they design and create a small habitat showing a living thing and its essential needs water, food, sun and shelter, while demonstrating their understanding of how plants and animals survive and how their needs can be both shared and unique.

👑 A lovely morning at Playgroup! 👑

We had a very special visitor at Playgroup this morning — Father Anthony, our parish priest. 🙏💛

It was lovely for our children to say hello, and a wonderful opportunity for our new families to meet the parish priest of Holy Spirit.

Father Anthony shared a beautiful prayer and blessing over all the mums, families and children present this morning. 💕🙏

Our craft activity was also extra special today as we made beautiful crowns for Mary 👑💙 in honour of the Queenship of Mary, celebrated this Saturday, 22 August.

What a lovely way for our little ones to learn about and celebrate Mary, Queen of Heaven and Earth.

In Art Lessons, Year 1 students explored Welcome to Country through the picture book by Aunty Joy Murphy and illustrator Lisa Kennedy, learning how Elders welcome people to Country and how symbols, colours and repeated images share the story of the Wurundjeri people.
After discussing meaningful symbols and reflecting on how we are connected to the land, students created their own clay plaques, sharing their personal symbol stories and showing how they are connected to their place and the natural features that are special to them, guided by the idea: “We are part of the land and the land is part of us.” Here are some from 1 Red.
