💚💛 Look How Much We've Grown! 💛💚

There was plenty of pride in our Year 2 classrooms as parents and grandparents were invited in to share in our students' learning.

It is hard to believe that these children began their school journey only two and a half years ago! From those first days of Kindergarten to the confident Year 2 learners they are today, they have grown in so many wonderful ways.

For parents and grandparents, Open Classrooms provided a special opportunity to see that growth firsthand and celebrate just how far their little ones have come. 💚💛

💚💛 Through a Grandparent's Eyes 💛💚

Our Year 1 students proudly welcomed their grandparents into their classrooms, eager to show them where they learn and all the wonderful things they can do.

Of course, grandparents have a very special way of viewing their grandchildren. Through the grandparent lens, every piece of work is a masterpiece, every achievement is amazing, and there is endless wonder at just how much these little people can already do! 🥰

The pride on the faces of our students was matched only by the pride on the faces of their grandparents. What a beautiful way to share in their learning. 💛💚

💚💛 A Little Love from Kindergarten 💛💚

Our Kindergarten students had a very special message to share with their grandparents on Grandparents Day👴👵.

Following morning tea, they performed a beautiful song for their grandparents before sharing the message again using Auslan. Through their voices, their hands and their very big hearts, they showed just how much their grandparents mean to them. 🥰

There certainly wasn't a dry eye in the house! A beautiful reminder that love can be expressed in so many different ways. 💛💚

💚💛🙏 Following in the Footsteps of St Anne and Joachim🙏💛💚

Last Friday, Grandparents Day began with a beautiful Mass at St Patrick's Cathedral, celebrated by Father Rooney, reminding us of the precious gift of faith passed from one generation to the next.

We were deeply touched by the heartfelt reflections shared by Amelia's grandmother and the grandmother of the Elias and Hunter families, whose words spoke so beautifully of the love grandparents have for their grandchildren. A special thank you to Ms Gaudry and our choir for their moving musical tribute, and to Mrs Bonserio for preparing such a meaningful celebration.

Together, we gave thanks for the love, wisdom and faith our grandparents share so generously, enriching the lives of their families and our school community. 💚💛🙏

📚📖Some of the most treasured memories are made in the simplest moments.📚📖

Whether sharing stories on the playground, browsing the Book Fair together, or choosing a special book to enjoy at home or donate to our library, Grandparents Day was filled with moments of connection, laughter and love.

Reading has a wonderful way of bringing generations together, creating memories that last long after the final page is turned. Thank you to all of our grandparents for sharing your time, your stories and your love of reading with our students. 📚💛

🕰️ Way Back When Wednesday 🕰️

Can you guess the year these photos were taken? 👀

Here are a few clues...

🇦🇺 Bob Hawke was Australia's Prime Minister.
🍞 A loaf of bread cost around 75 cents.
⛽ Petrol was about 55 cents per litre.
🎬 Ghostbusters was filling cinemas.
🎵 Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go by Wham! had everyone singing along.
🏉 The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs were crowned NSWRL Premiers.

Do you recognise anyone in the photos? Do you have any Year 4 photos to share?

Yes! It was 1984!💚💛

👵👴For the Love of Our Grandparents - A special Morning Tea sponsored by the Belle Property Group, Chris Sahyoun👵👴

No matter what we call them - Grandma, Grandpa, Nan, Pop, Nonna, Nonno, Yia Yia, Papou, Teta, Jiddo, Lola, Lolo, Nai Nai, Ye Ye, Sitto, Taita, Saba, Nene, Avó, Dadi, Nani, or another treasured name, our grandparents hold a special place in our hearts.😍

As we celebrated Grandparents Day, just after the Feast of Saints Joachim and Anne, the grandparents of Jesus, we were reminded of the love, wisdom and faith grandparents pass from one generation to the next.

It was a joy to welcome so many grandparents into our school and celebrate the special bond they share with their grandchildren. Days like these remind us that the strength of our community 💚💛 is found in the love we share across generations.

To all of our grandparents, thank you for your love, guidance and the countless memories you create. We hope you enjoyed celebrating with us as much as we enjoyed celebrating you. ❤️
