Members & .qu working on the Candlestick movement with gymnastic rings. Focusing on keeping the body straight and tight with full body tension, core activation and awareness while working on stability, balance + straight arm strength.

Nothing wrong with kipping into your first ring muscle ups but when it’s time to clean it up, focusing on full body tension and building pull and push strength will help make your movement slow and controlled 👌 ⠀

Ken walked into one of our classes over a year ago with an athletic background and an interest in calisthenics. Since then we’ve witnessed him progress like a beast with nothing but rings, bars and will power 👊🏼

Quality over quantity. Our coaches are always watching and ensuring that your form is up to standard for every rep and every hold. Do you add knee sit ups/knee sit isometrics to your training? They work on both your grip and core strength, don’t skip foundations!

Calisthenics isn’t all about pull ups and dips, there are many different training methods to build muscle + gain strength. (Hypertrophy, Statics, Dynamics). In the gym you often increase difficulty/overload by adding weight. With bodyweight you can increase the difficulty/overload not only by applying weight but by changing the movement patterns of the exercise.⠀

Most people tend to believe that the only way to work on your biceps is through lifting weights and that bodyweight is just impossible. We are here to tell you that you are WRONG. ⠀

Your body is just another form of resistance that if positioned correctly, can be utilised to directly work on the biceps more.⁣⠀

Here are some of our favourite bodyweight exercises that will be sure to give your biceps that push to strengthen and grow.⁣⠀

1. Pelican Curls (Intermediate) – 5-8 reps⁣⠀
2. Headbangers (Advanced) – 5-8 reps⁣⠀
3. Chin Up Negatives (Beginner) – 3-5 reps⁣⠀
4. Bodyweight Curls ( Intermediate) – 5-8 reps
