Today leaders from Victoria's five peak education organisations the Victorian Association of State Secondary Principals - VASSP, Country Education Partnership, Victorian Principals Association, Australian Principals Federation - Victoria, and the Principals' Association of Specialist Schools came together to discuss the 2023 Education Summit findings with Minister for Education, Natalie Hutchins MP.

The Education Summit was a critical event in May that brought together sixty education leaders from diverse schools across the state, marking a significant step towards addressing crucial educational challenges.

Nominations now open for the 2023 Dr Lawrie Shears Outstanding Global Teaching and Learning Award

Nominations for the 2023 Dr Lawrie Shears Outstanding Global Teaching and Learning Award are now open. This award category is part of the Department of Education’s Victorian Education Excellence Awards (VEEAs) that provide winners of each category with professional development grants of up to $25,000. The Dr Lawrie Shears Outstanding Global Teaching and Learning Award recognises school teams that demonstrate excellence in global learning and engagement at their school and provide their students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in an increasingly complex and interconnected world.

Whether your school is active in or new to the global learning and engagement space, you are encouraged to get your nomination in before 29 May 2023 through the online nomination system, Award Force.
