Did you know River Nile School has a dance crew?

Meet Spiced Up - our incredible student dance crew who perform in our school halls and just about everywhere these days!

On 18 May, welcomed the crew to teach an Afro dance class.

Movement at RNS is integral to wellbeing, and we’re so grateful to get to share this with our wider community.

Everyone deserves access to dance, joy and movement alongside education and the everyday rhythms of life. 💃

2 weeks ago, our students attended the VCE & Careers Expo and had an amazing opportunity to explore future pathways, ask questions, and connect with universities, TAFEs, employers and industry professionals.

From hospitality and community services to trades, business and university pathways, our students gained valuable insight into the many opportunities available after school.

It was great to see everyone so engaged, confident and curious about their futures!

A big thank you to the organisers of the VCE & Careers Expo for creating such an informative and inspiring event.

Our latest Refugee Education & Empowerment Network (REEN) meeting was our biggest yet with over 190 registrations, around 110 attendees and 370+ members nationally.

We heard powerful insights on advocacy, lived experience leadership, ethical storytelling and youth-led anti-racism.

At the centre of it all is centring lived experience in decision-making.

Huge thanks to our speakers, partners and everyone growing this movement.
