Today at St Michael’s we proudly celebrated Walk to School Day!
Despite the cold and misty weather, many of our students embraced the opportunity to be active and sustainable by walking to school. Some children hopped off their trams earlier than usual, while many parents dropped their children a little further away so they could enjoy a walk with friends.
A special thank you to our Sustainability Leaders, Jasmine and Sebi, who organised the event and handed out Walk to School tattoos to all participating students. 🌱👏

Last week our Year 5/6 students took the floor at our assembly to share their stories from RE lessons ✨
Through powerful diary entries, they stepped into the shoes of characters from the Bible and shared their perspectives, thoughts and emotions with our school community. It was wonderful to see their creativity, empathy and confidence shine as they retold these familiar stories in such a meaningful way.
We are so proud of their effort and courage in presenting to the whole school 👏📖💛

Today we welcomed the wonderful 4-year-old children from St Catherine’s Kinder for a fun sports session with Sarah our PE teacher and our Grade 6 House Leaders!
The children explored a range of fundamental movement skills including balancing, kicking, throwing and hopping, while building confidence, coordination and having lots of fun along the way! 🏃♂️⚽️🎯
We can’t wait for their next visit, where they’ll enjoy a library session and read some books in our brand new library! 📚💛

From challenging themselves on the giant swing and flying fox, to exploring the outdoors through walks and laser tag, students embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm and courage. Most importantly, we created wonderful memories, strengthened friendships, and shared lots of laughter along the way. What a fantastic camp experience!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mums in our St. Michael’s community 💐
Today we celebrate the mothers who nurture, guide and love so generously. We also hold in our hearts those who are missing their mums and we honour the amazing women and caregivers who step in, stand beside and lovingly play the role of “mum” in so many different ways.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Mother’s Day event on Friday. It was such a beautiful morning gathering together as a community and it was so special to see families enjoying hands on activities with their children.
A huge thank you to the mums and dads from our P&F who helped at the Mother’s Day stall this year. The children absolutely loved visiting and choosing something special for the mum figure in their lives. Your support made it a wonderful success 💛
We hope all families enjoy precious time together today and have a joyful and restful day. 💕

In Religion this week, students in 1/2 explored Genesis 1:26 and discovered that they are made in God’s image and likeness, called to care for others and the world around them.
They reflected on why we are called to care for one another. Students expressed their learning in creative ways - some through self portraits, and others by exploring a body part and how it can help them connect with God and show kindness to others! 😊

Today we celebrated the feast of Saint Joseph the Worker at St Michael’s Church. The choir sang a beautiful mix of songs and the whole community came together in such a joyful way. Thank you to Jojo’s family for the beautiful flowers now on display beside the Joseph statue in our church - such a special touch. Truly a beautiful celebration 🙏✨
