On Monday, our students visited Mercy Place Nursing Home as part of our Religion unit on Human Dignity. Students planned and created activities to share and participate in with the residents.

It was beautiful to see them connect, laugh and share together. A wonderful example of how God’s work is shown through kindness, compassion and connection.

📚 Book Week Parade - A Symphony of Stories 🎶

Last week, our students celebrated Book Week with a wonderful parade inspired by this year’s theme, “Symphony of Stories.”

Our school was filled with colour, creativity and plenty of much-loved book characters as students proudly brought their favourite stories to life. From classic characters to modern favourites, there was so much imagination on display! ✨

A big thank you to our families for helping create such fantastic costumes and for encouraging a love of reading at home and at school.

What a wonderful celebration of books, stories and the joy of reading! 📖

As part of St Michael’s Parish Mission, we had a very special visitor to our school yesterday! Father Boniface is a friar from New York who is good friends with our Parish Priest, Father Nicholas.
Father Boniface had great discussions with some of our school leaders and staff, and gave great insights and talked about his journey with God.

3/4s Inquiry question this term is “how can we impact the survival of species?” 🤔🌏
They have been learning about ecosystems and how they are impacted (environmental factors, climate change, deforestation), as well as endangered species and how people can protect them 🦎
Last week, they found out about different organisations and how they help the environment. The students then shared their findings to the class 🤩 This research will help as part of a “taking action” project that they will complete at the end of the term.
Awesome work, 3/4!✨

Over several Art classes the 1/2 students have been creating their Totem Sculptures. They first selected their foam shapes and carefully pushed them onto the skewer. They the students painted them using two coats of paint. This week the students modelled coloured paper magiclay to add patterns and interesting details to their sculptures. They certainly do make a colourful display. Well done!!
