50 Days to Go - Year 12
This week, we are celebrating the Year 12s' countdown of 50 days until graduation. π The chosen theme is "Younger Self." πΆ
Everyone is encouraged to find a favourite photo of themselves from when they were younger and recreate that look!
πΈ Some of our staff members also joined in the celebration. We hope you all had a fun day! π

π WHAT AN INCREDIBLE START! THANK YOU! π
We kicked off the countdown to our Monty the Monstar Colour Fun Run a week ago, and our local business community has already shown our kids incredible support.
A huge thank you to:
β FleetCrew β with a whopping $500 donation!
β Gauci Mining Industries Pty Ltd β a wonderful MCC family who love our school and have very generously donated $300.
β Fergus Builders β for their incredibly generous $250 donation.
β Devine Skin & Wellness β one of our wonderful regular PA supporters and parent, with a generous $100 donation.
β Jumbo's Business Supplies β for getting behind our Colour Run with a generous $100 donation.
That is an amazing $1,250 in business donations already! And to think, we only started our Colour Run countdown a week ago!
We are genuinely so grateful. Every single donation matters, no matter the amount, and every cent raised is going to be spent on MCC kids. π
If any other businesses would like to get behind Montyβs Colour Fun Run, we would absolutely love to have you involved. Donations can be made here:

And families β please donβt forget to set up your fundraising profiles if you havenβt already!
π 18 September is getting closer!
We cannot wait to let the colour fly and enjoy a fantastic day of fun, colour, laughter and plenty of very colourful kids!
To Fleet Crew, Gauci Mining Industries, Fergus Builders, Devine Skin & Wellness and Jumboβs Business Supplies - thank you for getting behind our PA, our Colour Run and, most importantly, our kids.
How lucky are we to be part of such a supportive community! π

πΆββοΈπΆββοΈ 8:35am - Secondary students walk to Providence Primary Campus
π« 10:00am (approximately) - Secondary students return to Kingβs Park Campus
π Where:
From Kingβs Park Secondary Campus to Providence Primary Campus
ππ§ What to wear/bring:
Timetabled uniform and hat, water bottle
Session 1 and Session 2 will be swapped as it will be held during Chapel session, so no classes are missed. This change is reflected in studentsβ online timetable.
As we are departing Kingβs Park Campus at the very start of the day, we ask that Years 7 to 12 students arrive on Secondary campus by 8:25am. Any late bus students will be escorted over. All senior students (except College Captains) are required to walk to Providence Primary Campus with the student body and not drive between the campuses.
Ps Rob Booth-Jones, MCCβs Founding Board Chair, Ps Ben Patterson, MCC Board Chair and Dr Lesley Tunnah, College Principal, will address the students. π Our College Captains and leaders from both campuses will join them in a symbolic ceremony involving the handing over of a plaque for our College Founders Day, marking another year in our College history. π Creative Academy students will entertain us and play the national anthem during this celebration. πΆ
Please note that, as this is a whole-College event, we are unable to accommodate parents/carers at the ceremony, and we appreciate your understanding and support. π All students are expected to uphold our CLEAR values and follow staff directions to ensure a safe and enjoyable event. π‘οΈ
ποΈ It has now been almost 43 years since Ps Rob Booth-Jones established Mackay Christian College. Mackay Christian Family Church has continued its unwavering support in its governance of the College to see it as it stands today on two campuses.
β¨ We look forward to hearing the history of the College and celebrating what God has done to provide a place where students can discover Him and their God-given gifts.
