Another group of our kindergarten children had a very exciting adventure to the post box today! 📬✨

The children proudly posted another letter to our special friends at Sesame Lane Kippa Ring - Anzac Avenue, continuing our wonderful connection and sharing a little piece of our kindergarten with them.❤️

There was plenty of excitement as the children carefully posted their letter and watched it disappear into the post box. We can’t wait to hear from our friends again! 💌😊

Our butterfly kits have officially arrived at Sesame Lane McLennan Court, and we couldn't be more excited! 🌿✨

Over the coming weeks, the children will have the opportunity to observe the fascinating butterfly life cycle up close, watching as tiny caterpillars transform into beautiful butterflies. This hands-on experience encourages curiosity, scientific thinking, patience and a deep appreciation for the natural world.

Once our butterflies have emerged, they'll be released into our very own butterfly enclosure, where the children can continue to observe and care for them in a safe, natural environment. 🦋🌸

This is an exciting step in our growing butterfly project, creating meaningful opportunities for children to connect with nature, ask questions, make discoveries and experience the wonder of life firsthand.

Today we headed to North Lakes State College for our final Transition to Prep visit for the year! 🌟

We enjoyed a magical adventure in the library, where we explored the wonderful world of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. 📚🐛 The children loved listening to the story, discovering the colourful illustrations, and sharing in the excitement of this much loved classic.

A big thank you to the wonderful staff at North Lakes State College for making our visits so welcoming. We can’t wait for our future Prep students to begin their next big adventure! 💚

Today marked the beginning of an exciting new journey as part of the Owlbert Garden Program…restoring our Butterfly House Garden.

With our beautiful plants thoughtfully selected and hand-delivered by Miss Tiff, the children eagerly joined Miss Bron, Mr Jack and Mr Bharat to get their hands dirty, working together to carefully plant each one in our Butterfly House. It was wonderful to see their excitement as they learned about creating a safe and thriving habitat for butterflies.

This experience also provided a meaningful opportunity to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our learning. Together, we explored the importance of caring for Country, acknowledging the deep knowledge First Nations Peoples have shared for generations about living sustainably, respecting the land, and understanding the interconnectedness of all living things. Through caring for our garden, the children are developing a sense of responsibility, respect and connection to the natural world.

Our journey doesn’t end here! The children will take on the important role of caring for and maintaining our Butterfly Garden as the plants grow and flourish.

We are also eagerly awaiting the arrival of our butterfly cocoons! Soon, the children will have the incredible opportunity to observe the butterfly life cycle up close, watching the butterflies emerge before releasing them into their new home in our Butterfly House. 🦋

We can’t wait to share each step of this beautiful journey with our families and community as we learn, grow and care for nature together. 💚

💙🧸 Pyjama Day for a Purpose! 🧸💙

What an incredible day we’ve had supporting The Pyjama Foundation🩵

Our wonderful children, families and educators embraced the spirit of the day by coming to kindy dressed in their favourite pyjamas, while our bake sale was a huge success! 🍪🧁

Our fundraising goal was $500, and with donations still rolling in, we’re so grateful for the generosity and kindness shown by our amazing community. Every dollar raised helps support children in foster care through learning, literacy and life-changing mentoring.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who baked, donated, purchased treats and wore their PJs to help make today so special. Together, we’ve shown our children the power of kindness, community and giving back. 💙
