At Sesame Lane Flinders Parade, art is so much more than creating a beautiful picture! 🎨 Through painting, drawing, exploring colours and experimenting with different materials, our children develop creativity, imagination, fine motor skills and self-expression. Art provides opportunities for children to communicate their thoughts, feelings and ideas in meaningful ways, building confidence, independence and a sense of achievement. Our educators encourage children to explore art as a process rather than focusing on the finished product, celebrating each child's unique ideas, choices and creativity. ✨

🌱 EYLF Connections: These experiences support Outcome 1 – Children have a strong sense of identity, Outcome 3 – Children have a strong sense of wellbeing, Outcome 4 – Children are confident and involved learners and Outcome 5 – Children are effective communicators. ✨💡 Happy Healthy Learners in our Nursery! 💡✨

Our Nursery children have been discovering lights, colours and sensory experiences as they explored how different coloured lights change and interact with their environment. Through hands-on exploration, curiosity and meaningful educator interactions, children were encouraged to investigate, observe, experiment and respond to what they noticed. These experiences support children’s sensory development, curiosity, communication and emerging understandings of the world around them, reflecting the EYLF focus on Belonging, Being and Becoming. 🌈💛
