Kathy from our Finance team recently attended an industry-specific roundtable hosted by FoundU with Bianca Seeto from Citation Legal, where we explored recent changes to the industry award and their implications for employers. The discussion provided valuable insights into award compliance, workforce management, and best practice approaches for payroll and HR.

The conversation also highlighted the proactive steps we're taking to strengthen our payroll and HR processes, ensuring we remain compliant while continuing to effectively support our teams and centres.

Staying ahead of industry change is important to us, and we welcomed the opportunity to review the innovative practices we're implementing to help centres remain compliant, supported, and well-prepared for the future.

Before joining the Giggletree management team, Dannielle spent 11 years as the Centre Manager of one of our managed services. That experience means she truly understands the day-to-day realities of leading a centre—the challenges, the wins and everything in between. It's this practical, hands-on knowledge that allows her to provide genuine support and guidance to the leaders she now works alongside.

As we wrap up another busy month, we're taking a moment to reflect on everything our team has been working on behind the scenes and alongside our managed centres. 💜

This month has been all about planning, collaboration and preparing for change.

💰 𝐖𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬
Our team has spent considerable time understanding and implementing these important reforms., supporting our centres and ensuring we're well prepared and compliant.

💻 𝐂𝐂𝐒𝐒 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
July marked a significant milestone as our centres transitioned to Xplor Education as their new CCS platform. From planning and training through to implementation and ongoing support, it's been a true team effort to help make the transition as smooth as possible.

🛡️ 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬
We continued supporting our centres with the ongoing implementation of the Child Safe Standards, working alongside leadership teams to embed child-safe practices into everyday operations. From reviewing processes to strengthening culture and accountability, this important work continues to ensure children's safety and wellbeing remain at the heart of everything we do.

📈 𝐆𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠
We came together for our quarterly strategic planning meeting to reflect on the quarter that was, celebrate our achievements and map out our priorities for the months ahead. It's always valuable to step back from the day-to-day and ensure we're continuing to grow and improve as a team.

🌱 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠
This month's Educational Leader meeting focused on reflecting on Group Times and exploring how we can genuinely embed children's voices within our learning environments. The discussions were thoughtful, practical and centred around creating meaningful learning experiences for children.

🤝 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
We also had the opportunity to participate in the Australian Childcare Alliance Queensland Sector Update Roundtable and a foundU industry-specific roundtable, discussing topics including audit trails, compliance and current sector challenges. These conversations are invaluable in helping us stay informed and ensuring we're bringing the latest knowledge and best practice back to the centres we support.

Every month brings new opportunities to learn, adapt and strengthen the way we work. Thank you to our incredible team and the dedicated leaders across our managed centres for embracing change and continuing to strive for excellence.

You may have noticed our social media has been a little quieter throughout July... but behind the scenes, it's been anything but! 💜

Across every department, our team has been working hard to navigate end-of-financial-year activities, software migrations, wage retention updates and plenty of other projects, all while continuing to provide hands-on support to the centres we work alongside.

It's certainly been a busy month, and we're looking forward to sharing more in our end-of-month wrap-up.

Who says strategic planning has to be serious? 💜🩷

Today our team came together for our Quarterly Strategic Planning Day, taking the opportunity to reflect on the quarter that's been, plan for the months ahead and continue working on ways we can better support our centres, leaders and families.

To make the day a little more fun, we swapped our office attire for our favourite pyjamas! 💤 While the dress code was relaxed, the conversations, ideas and planning certainly weren't.

We also took time to celebrate Hendi's birthday. 🎂 There's nothing better than combining great planning, plenty of laughs and birthday cake!

Days like today are a great reminder that some of the best ideas come from creating space to think, collaborate and enjoy each other's company.

From 1 July, Queensland's Reportable Conduct Scheme comes into effect for QLD early childhood services, strengthening the way concerns are managed and reinforcing accountability across our sector.

As we wrap up June, we're reflecting on another month filled with learning, collaboration and supporting our centres every step of the way. 💜

This month saw our team attend the 𝓐𝓒𝓐 𝓒𝓸𝓷𝓯𝓮𝓻𝓮𝓷𝓬𝓮 and the 𝓑𝓻𝓪𝓿𝓮𝓱𝓮𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓼 𝓑𝓪𝓵𝓵, providing valuable opportunities to connect with others across the sector, gain new insights and continue advocating for safe, high-quality outcomes for children.

𝓐𝓼𝓼𝓮𝓼𝓼𝓶𝓮𝓷𝓽 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓡𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓰 was at the forefront this month as we saw Ascot Childcare & Kindy and Cottage Grove Early Learning receive their results, while Junior's Journey Mildura went through the process for the first time! We are incredibly proud of the leadership teams and educators at each service for their dedication, professionalism and commitment to continuous improvement throughout the journey.

Throughout the month, we continued to invest in leadership development through our 𝓒𝓮𝓷𝓽𝓻𝓮 𝓜𝓪𝓷𝓪𝓰𝓮𝓻, 𝓐𝓼𝓼𝓲𝓼𝓽𝓪𝓷𝓽 𝓒𝓮𝓷𝓽𝓻𝓮 𝓜𝓪𝓷𝓪𝓰𝓮𝓻 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓔𝓒𝓣 𝓶𝓮𝓮𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓰𝓼, creating opportunities to share ideas, solve challenges together and strengthen leadership across our managed centres.

Behind the scenes, there has also been plenty happening as we supported centres to implement the QLD Reportable Conduct Scheme, reviewed recruitment and selection processes, prepared for payroll changes ahead of the new financial year, and worked closely with our centres as they transition to a new CCS management software.

Every month looks a little different, but our focus remains the same—to provide practical, hands-on support that helps our centres, leaders and educators thrive.
