Manly Alumni is excited to announce that West Side Story will be Manly's musical for 2023. There will be only 5 performances from Tuesday 20th June to Saturday 24th June. Tickets will be available soon - we will post the details once they are on sale. Manly last performed West Side Story in 2011. We will try to find some photos from this production to share.

As you may know, after many years at Manly, Vicki Maggs and Rob Harris are retiring at the end of this term.

We have TWO NBSC Manly Campus ALUMNI COMPETING AT THE TOKYO OLYMPICS // 🇯🇵
🏑 Timothy Brand (Class of 2016) is in the Australian Hockey team.
⛵️Lisa Darmanin (Class of 2009) is sailing for Australia in the Mixed Nacra event. Lisa won the Silver medal in the mixed Nacra 17 at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Keep a look out for them in action over the next few weeks and be sure to cheer them on!
We wish them both the very best of luck!

For many years now, our school has supported the wonderful Bushlink program. This program provides people with disabilities supportive and interesting employment options while improving the environment and working for our community.

Much of the work that Bushlink has performed in our school has been in the area at the back of our playing field and relates to the regeneration of the bushland to its natural habitat. They have also worked at maintaining the garden area along the front of our hall and in planting native seedlings in the garden areas in the main quad.

This Friday 26th June they will be featured on the Gardening Australia programme on the ABC at 7.30pm. Tune in to check what they do on the Northern Beaches.

A message from the Manly P&C:

Working Group for New Gymnasium

After years of needing to hold school assemblies in the quad, packing out the hall for musicals, open days and events, working around insufficient space to hold exams, not to mention a lack of indoor sports facilities, the P&C in consultation with the school, believe it is time Manly Campus had its own gymnasium. A state-of-the-art multi-use facility would cater for the sporting needs of Manly Campus’ enthusiastic and talented student body, as well as providing a space for many of the other needs of the school and community.

To get the ball rolling, we would like to establish a working group early in 2020, initially to develop a concept and brief for discussion.

This exciting project represents a fabulous opportunity to make a significant and lasting difference to the quality of the school experience for Manly Campus students and community for generations to come. To make it happen we will need the support of the entire school community. If you have experience or skills in an area such as design and architecture, communications, fundraising, lobbying or grant applications and would like to be part of the Working Group, we would love to hear from you. Or if you simply would like to get involved in this project with your energy and enthusiasm, please also get in touch.
