Dearest BKD Family,
We have made countless films and original shows, seen our students develop their confidence and find their voices in over 500 classes taught! Some of our older kids are taking their learning even further, having auditioned and secured places in performing arts high schools. Every one of our students has made us incredibly proud, and inspired us in our own capacity as educators and artists.
But with heavy hearts, we have made the decision to shutter Bondi Kids Drama in 2024. It’s been an incredible journey for us these past four years, and we have been so humbled by the way BKD has flourished and been accepted into the Bondi community. But this year represents a chance for us to focus attention on our families and our personal well-being. Rather than offer solutions that may dilute the BKD educational experience for our own sakes, we’ve opted to maintain our standards to the end and finish strong.
Parents: for all that you have done, for all that you have been a part of, we can not thank you enough. Arts education is the most important thing that one can extend to children—it helps them find themselves and prepares them for a life of mindfulness, resilience, imagination and compassion.
By sending us your brilliant young artists, you have given them a gift that will never cease to bless them. And we will forever be grateful for being a small part of that journey.
