Thank you to the Robogals team for facilitating a Python coding workshop with the Year 3, 4 and 5 iHOTS students last week. 🤓

The students had a go at some tricky coding and used their skills to battle their robots against each other.

🏆 Tournament of Minds 2026 Regional Final Results 🏆

Congratulations to all of our Tournament of Minds students and facilitators on great regional competition results!

We are thrilled to announce that our Social Sciences and STEM teams have progressed to the WA State Finals on Saturday 19 September. This is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the creativity, collaboration and dedication of our students.

A special congratulations also goes to The Arts and Language Literature teams, both of which were awarded Tournament of Minds 2026 Merit Awards for the quality of their challenge solutions. While they have not progressed to the State Finals, this recognition highlights the high standard of their work and the commitment they demonstrated throughout the competition.

A huge thank you to our wonderful teachers (and facilitators) for the many hours spent mentoring, encouraging and supporting our students.

We are incredibly proud of all four teams and the way they represented Our Lady of Grace School. Well done, everyone! 👏🎉🏆

Robocup is an annual statewide Lego robotics competition which was held at Murdoch University on Saturday and Sunday last weekend.

OLG students from Year 5 and 6 competed in different categories, with 4 teams competing in the Onstage competition and 1 team in the Soccer competition.

Thank you to Mrs Fenlon and Mr Watkins who helped mentor and organise the teams over the last few months.

🌱 STEM in action! ✨

Our students explored First Nations connections to our ‘House’ native plants: Acacia, Melaleuca, Grevillea and Banksia.

They planted native seeds in coconut husk pods and investigated the results of last week’s colourful dyed flower experiment.

Hands-on learning, curiosity and discovery at its best! 💡
