Today, we celebrated our Leadership Ritual, a cherished Loreto Normanhurst tradition marking the transition of leadership from Year 12 to Year 11.

Our Year 11 students made their pledge of commitment to Loreto Normanhurst, marking the beginning of their journey as the School’s new leaders.

We also took the opportunity to recognise and thank our Year 12 students for the leadership, commitment and spirit they have shown throughout the year. We look forward to seeing our new leaders embrace their roles and continue to strengthen our community.

Yesterday, Year 5 visited Sydney Zoo as part of their Science learning about animal adaptations.

The girls explored how structural, behavioural and physiological adaptations help animals survive and thrive in the wild, seeing these adaptations in action across a range of species.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect classroom learning with the real world and bring their Science studies to life through an engaging and hands-on experience.

Our Primary students brought their favourite stories to life today for the Book Week Parade.

Dressed as much-loved book characters, each class took part in the parade accompanied by a song they had chosen to tell their story in their own way.

From beloved characters to creative costumes, the parade was a wonderful celebration of the stories that inspire our imaginations and make reading so much fun.

A fitting finale to our Book Week celebrations and this year’s theme, Symphony of Stories.
