Happy Principal’s Day 💛

We wouldn’t normally do this because our Principal and Deputy Principal never want the spotlight and are the first to recognise everyone else. But today, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you.

From our whole school community, thank you, Miss Lisa and Mr Keegan, for everything you do. We are so lucky to have leaders who lead with humility, dignity and care.✨
We think our students have summed it up perfectly!

Some of our Year 3-6 students braved the weather to participate at the District Athletics today and what an outstanding effort they put in.

Incoming chick spam!

There’s honestly nothing better than seeing our Prep students handle the chicks for the first time. Watching their little faces light up when a fluffy chick finally settles right in their hands is what it is all about.

Our Prep students have been busy this term looking at biological science and the needs and wants of living things.

We have some new additions as they discover what baby chicks need to grow up healthy and strong (food, water, warmth, and shelter!), to watching them take their very first steps. We are all loving this hands on learning experience!

Today, some of our SRC leaders stepped into a new part of their role as Passive Play Leaders! ✨

By helping to create opportunities for belonging in our school community, they encouraged others, led games and showed kindness and respect.

NAIDOC Week 2026: 50 Years of Deadly 🖤💛❤️

This year’s theme, “50 Years of Deadly,” celebrates five decades of First Nations history, culture, and achievements. A huge shoutout to the students, staff and families from our school community who are out representing us at local community events this week.

At St Thomas Aquinas, we believe every child is a capable learner. 💙

We use a systematic approach to literacy, starting with InitialLit in the early years to build strong foundations in reading, writing, and language and then progressing to programs like SpellX in the middle and senior years to further develop spelling and literacy skills. 📚

Every step is designed to help our students become confident and capable learners.

Yesterday we put Respect in action with our School Values Day and teddy bear challenge. We reflected on our learning over the term of how kindness, respect and care helps build a stronger community. 💛
