Mr Brady's semester 2 Year 10 Art4 class, after examining masks in different cultures, completed planning and sketching of possible designs for their own masks. They have been busy creating their final piece in clay. After drying, they will be painted and fired in the kiln. We look forward to the final creations.

Our Year 10 Media students have been hard at work creating their own Vox Pop videos, interviewing people and gathering opinions on a range of interesting topics. From planning questions and filming on location to capturing quality audio and video, students have experienced the full production process! 🎬🎙️

Now it's time to bring their stories to life as they dive into DaVinci Resolve 🎞️💡, learning professional editing techniques including cutting footage, adding transitions, balancing audio, and creating engaging final videos.
We can't wait to see their finished productions and the creative ways they communicate different perspectives through media! 👏🌟

🍩📸 Year 9 Media: Macro Photography Fun! 📸🍫

Our Year 9 Media students got up close and personal with some delicious treats as they explored the world of macro photography! 🔍📷 Using creative camera angles, lighting techniques, and close-up shots, students captured stunning details that are often missed by the naked eye. 🍬🍪🍩

The best part? After photographing their yummy subjects, students got to enjoy eating them too! 😋🎉 A sweet reward for their hard work and creativity.
From colourful lollies, fruit, and biscuits to chocolatey delights, our budding photographers demonstrated fantastic technical skills and artistic flair. 🌟👏

Today marked the first of our Transition Days, and we were delighted to welcome our future students to Morley Senior High School.

It was wonderful to meet so many enthusiastic young people and see new friendships and connections begin to form. We look forward to welcoming them back next term for the next stage of their transition journey.

Thank you to our dedicated Year 10 Peer Support Leaders, whose kindness, leadership and enthusiasm helped make the day such a positive experience. Their efforts in welcoming students, checking in throughout the day and creating meaningful connections were greatly appreciated.

✈️ ADF Careers Day & RAAFA Aviation Heritage Museum 🛩️

Our Aviation students had a fantastic opportunity to attend the ADF Careers Day, gaining valuable insight into the wide range of careers and pathways available within the Australian Defence Force. 🇦🇺🎖️

As part of the day, students also visited the RAAFA Aviation Heritage Museum, where they were able to explore an impressive collection of aircraft and learn more about Australia’s aviation history. ✈️🛫

It was a great opportunity for our students to connect their interest in aviation with potential future career pathways while experiencing aviation history up close.
A big thank you to the ADF and RAAFA Aviation Heritage Museum for providing such an engaging and informative experience for our students. 👏✨

🎬📸 Lights, Camera, Action! 🎥✨

Our Year 7 Media students have been busy learning the fundamentals of DSLR filmmaking! Over the past few lessons, they've explored how to correctly set up and pack down camera equipment, mastered key camera functions, and practised a range of camera shots and angles to tell engaging visual stories. 📷🎞️

From close-ups to wide shots, high angles to low angles, students have been building the skills needed to become confident filmmakers. 🌟

Tomorrow is the exciting next step... it's time to head out on location and start filming their very own movies! 🎬🍿

We can't wait to see their creativity, teamwork and storytelling skills come to life on screen.
