Noah has absolutely smashed it at the Australian School Sport Swimming Championships in Melbourne, coming home with some world class results!

🏉REGIONAL ALL SCHOOLS TOUCH 🏉

u15 Girls had a great day wining 4 out of 5 pool games and making it to Semi Finals, finishing 4th overall.
A lot of spirit shown by the u18 Girls who made it to the QFs with the team carrying some small injuries. The girls won their preliminary All schools game against Grace Lutheran.
u18 Boys are building nicely as they are a young team of Yr 9, Yr 10 and Yr 11 players. The boys won 2 from 3 pool games, making it to the Quarter Finals. u18 Boys also won their preliminary All Schools game against the school to beat, Grace Lutheran.

This Regional Tournament was the perfect chance to test ourselves, build momentum and fine-tune our game ahead of All Schools in October.

A wonderful achievement for our GSLC waterpolo community. Emmersen McEwan (Yr 12, 2025) as a member of the U18 Australian waterpolo team has just beaten the USA to land herself and her team a Grandfinal position against Spain at the World Championships. A first ever for Australia in women’s waterpolo at this level!

We wish the team all the best as they strive for that GOLD medal.

GSLC PROUD! The junior girls had their first competition game this week in the Sunshine Coast Secondary Schools Basketball Competition with three of the girls taking to the court for their first ever official game. The team’s spirit and determination was a standout on the court and we look forward to supporting their growth throughout the season and beyond as they immerce themselves in this experience. Thankyou to the coaches and peers who have been collectively working with this wonderful group. 🙌👏👏🏀⛹️‍♀️

Congratulations to our two senior volleyball teams who competed in the Volleyball Queensland Senior Schools Cup last weekend.
Our Senior Girls team competed in Division 2 and, as a relatively young team, showed tremendous improvement throughout the three days of competition. Their development and progress provide a strong foundation heading into next year’s volleyball season.
Our Senior Boys team, competed in the highest division, Honours. Despite losing a couple of key players to injury, the boys performed exceptionally well, finishing 10th overall.
We are incredibly proud of the commitment, determination and effort demonstrated by all of our athletes. Their willingness to invest significant time at training, continually develop their skills and work together as teams was evident throughout the competition.
Well done to all of our volleyball athletes on an outstanding 3 day weekend of competition!🙌

🏅 13 – 19 District Athletics Success! 🏅🏃‍♂️
What a fantastic two days at the 13–19 Years District Athletics Trials held at Sunshine Coast University! With perfect weather conditions, our athletes gave it their all across both track and field. We are extremely proud of this small but mighty team, many athletes stood up to fill vacant events to accumulate extra points for the College.

AGE CHAMPIONS:
🥈 Hamish McNee – 2nd Overall, 14 Years Boys Age Champion
🥉 Lucia Dye – 3rd Overall, 16 Years Girls Age Champion

It was a fantastic day at the 9 - 12 Years District Athletics Trials held at the University of the Sunshine Coast! Our athletes gave it their all across both track and field events, and we are extremely proud of their efforts.
