Today we celebrated International Friendship Day in our kinder room. Our children created friendship cards for their friends using heart-shaped paper cut-outs, colourful stickers, decorative tapes, and pom-poms. They carefully chose different materials to decorate their cards and enjoyed talking about who they were making them for. This experience encouraged kindness, creativity, and friendship while also supporting children’s fine motor skills and self-expression.

🦆 Five Little Ducks Puppet Show 🎭

Today our children had so much fun enjoying a “Five Little Ducks” puppet show! They eagerly joined in with “quack, quack” sounds, sang along, counted the ducks, and took turns bringing the puppets to life.

This engaging experience supported early numeracy, language development, confidence, turn-taking, and imaginative play. It was wonderful to see everyone cheering and clapping for one another! 💛🎶

🏃‍♀️🌿 Our kinders had a fantastic time during their Active 8 movement session! They explored a range of fun activities using bean bags, cones, ropes and colourful shakers, encouraging active participation and imaginative play.

The children practised balancing, jumping, moving in different directions, and following instructions while developing their coordination, body awareness and gross motor skills. The session finished with calming breathing exercises and a goodbye song, supporting relaxation and emotional wellbeing after an energetic morning.

What a wonderful way to build confidence, teamwork and a love of movement through play! 💚

🖤💛❤️ NAIDOC Week in Our Kinder Room ❤️💛🖤

This week, our children continued celebrating NAIDOC Week by exploring our Aboriginal-inspired learning space and painting symbols on rocks and wood using black, white, and red paint.

Through books, cultural resources, and creative experiences, children are learning about Australia’s First Nations Peoples, their stories, symbols, and connection to Country.

We love creating meaningful opportunities for children to learn through play and celebrate the rich cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ Neighbourhood Walk Adventure 🌼🚦

Today, our kinder children enjoyed a road walk excursion around the local neighbourhood, the children embraced the opportunity to explore and learn from their surroundings.

Along the way, they observed flowers, construction sites, different types and colours of cars, house numbers, and traffic lights. The children demonstrated their growing awareness of road safety by identifying traffic light colours and discussing what they mean. They also showed curiosity about their environment by making observations, comparing objects, and engaging in conversations with educators and peers.

The walk provided wonderful opportunities for learning through real-life experiences, supporting children’s language development, numeracy skills, observation skills, community awareness, and understanding of road safety. It was lovely to see their excitement as they explored the world around them and connected with their local community.

🌟 Learning through exploration, observation, and discovery!

📚✨ Reading together is one of the simplest and most powerful ways to support your child’s learning and development.

Just 10 minutes of reading each day can help build language skills, expand vocabulary, spark imagination, strengthen concentration, and foster a lifelong love of books. Story time also creates special opportunities for connection, helping children feel safe, supported, and engaged.

Whether it’s a bedtime story, a favourite picture book, or a book read together on the couch, every moment spent reading makes a difference.

💬 We’d love to hear from our families!

What is your child’s favourite book right now? Share the title in the comments below—you might inspire another family to discover a new favourite story! 📖❤️
