Hi members

Our awesome treasurer Korin Lesh is stepping down from her Treasurer role at the end of the financial year. As a result we need to fill this position. I am advising notice for a special meeting Wednesday 10th June 4:30pm, 3 Price st Parap. Please reply to this email to RSVP.

The treasurer role will soon become simpler with the new charity status model being rolled out through PTANT. There is support available for anyone who is keen, but not sure what the role entails.

Professional teachers associations do not exist without volunteers willing to take on roles. So if you have a heart to contribute please come along or zoom in to our special meeting.

Such a fantastic day at the Experimental Printmaking Workshop with Mandy Tootell at Katherine Regional Arts! Participants got hands-on with a range of processes, exploring the rich textures of collagraphs, the precision of intaglio printing, the magic of cyanotypes, and the expressive lines of dry point etching.
It was incredible to see everyone dive in, take creative risks, and embrace the unexpected moments that make printmaking so exciting. From first-time printers to experienced artists, the studio was buzzing with curiosity, collaboration, and inky fingers.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made the day such a success — we can’t wait to see where your printmaking journeys go next!

One of our members has co-curated an upcoming group titled MOTHERLOAD- opening 1 May 2026 at at 530pm!

MOTHERLOAD explores the invisible and visible labour of modern motherhood and seeks to capture the full spectrum of mum-life: the beauty, the boredom, the burnout, and the bliss, elevating the domestic to the poetic and honouring the complexity of caregiving.
